Friendship Friday

Welcome to Friendship Friday!

Friendship Friday at Create With Joy is a week-long event where you can:

  • Share what’s unique about you and your blog!
  • Foster friendships with other bloggers!

You are welcome to share your favorite posts, past or present – but we’d love it if you participated in our Friendship Friday prompts by either writing a dedicated Friendship Friday post and/or sharing your responses in the comments!

We’d do the Happy Dance if you spread the word about Friendship Friday by adding our beautiful blog button to your posts/blog and spread the word on your social media sites so that others can join the fun!

And a blog or social media follow on BlogLovin, Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter or Pinterest might make us swoon!

  1. Since my personal blog isn’t really happening, I’ll answer the questions here.

Do you currently keep a Gratitude Journal?
I used to do this regularly. I began years and years ago after attending a worship conference run by Integrity Music – it was fab-u-lous. I love referring back to it.

I need to get back to doing this regularly.

Are there any tips or resources you’d like to share to help others get started?
Start basic, hot water, shelter, transportation and keep going, it gets addictive and makes life more enjoyable.

We are grateful to be celebrating Stanley & Katrina’s first blogiversary. Actually, a year ago, they were created. What a wonderful adventure they have turned out to be!
    Blessings to all!

I’m so excited about your blogaversary and your blog tour! I just tweeted it out! 🙂

How awesome it must have been to have attended a worship conference hosted by Integrity Music. I love their stuff!

      Have a wonderful week Christine!

I believe in keeping journals. I have often written down the things that I am grateful for. This week I am grateful for celebrating another birthday and for all the support I got on that day. Thanks for hosting and enjoy the rest of the week.

Thanks so much for hosting! Sorry, I don’t keep a gratitude journal.

I was keeping a daily journal & then I let life get in the way. I’d like to take at least a half hour a day to work on one. Hope this finds you well! Thanks for hosting each week! Theresa

I am supposed to be keeping a gratitude journal with my daughter for her scouting troop, but I find myself instead simply saying more prayers aloud with the children where I say what I am grateful for, and find myself refocusing the children when they say and do things that reflect a lack of gratitude for the blessings that we do have.

I feel like I’ve come full circle. I wrote about a particular post in September for your “Share Something Good” prompt. I think about this post a lot. Almost every day.

And, on the eve of the anniversary of my son’s passing (in my mind), I think that it works within this theme too.

Remember that your kind gesture or words of appreciation might stay with that person. Forever. And forever is a long time…

My post is called “When a Quarter is More Then Just a Quarter”

As always, thanks for providing a forum in which I can heal. I am eternally grateful.

I keep a gratitude list in my regular journal. I would give one suggestion, don’t allow yourself to be bound to a certain number each day. Gratitude shouldn’t be a chore. My gratitude flows when I let it happen naturally.

  9. I love the saying: what if all we had today was what we thanked God for yesterday? Thanks for hosting & God bless!

That is funny you asked! I actually am keeping one for this month- I do a collage (usually magazine clippings of words, or an image) on the left page and 5 things I am thankful for on the right page! I also keep my Multitudes in an ongoing gratitude journal. I really love the November little Journal I am working on and will share it at some point! I like the simplicity of this one.

Hhmmmm…. I’ve never thought of keeping a gratitude journal before. It sounds very interesting! Perhaps I will try it! Thanks for hosting!

Gratitude journals are so rewarding, I was in spired by 1000 Gifts of Ann Voskamp. In November I’m keeping a gratitude journal on Instagram, posting a daily picture with the theme .

I’ve always wanted to keep a gratitude journal but couldn’t stay consistent. So today, I’m sharing my version – it’s the easiest method ever!

We were thinking along the same lines. But I’ve been struck by how after a month of “concentrating” on being thankful we turn into greedy monsters the next month. That has made me ponder true contentment.

I’ve tried keeping different types of journals over the years, always starting off enthusiastically and eventually letting it slide. I love the idea of a gratitude journal. There really is much to be thankful for every day!
