Are you are familiar with The Adventure Bible, NIV from Zonderkidz? According to Zondervan, The Adventure Bible is the best-selling Bible for kids and is recommended by more Christian schools and churches than any other Bible! Parents and teachers love The Adventure Bible because it contains the full NIV text plus age appropriate study aids that engage your child in God’s Word. This Bible is so popular that Zonderkidz even released an Adventure Bible For Early Readers containing the NIRV text!
Now – to complement those Bible lines – Zonderkidz has released a series of new books that supplements your child’s Bible reading and engages him and her even deeper in God’s Word!
I’m excited to share my thoughts on each of these resources with you – and, to team up with Zonderkidz to offer one of my readers the chance to win a set of these books for their children!
Adventure Bible Storybook Deluxe Edition – Review
The Adventure Bible Storybook Deluxe Edition by Catherine DeVries is a beautifully packaged edition that contains one hardback copy of the Adventure Bible Storybook and a 2-disc audio set of the book.
The book is beautifully illustrated and contains 23 Old Testament stories and 28 New Testament stories. Each short story is a few pages long – has the Bible reference at the beginning of the story – and an Adventure Discovery and a Words To Treasure moment at the end of the story.
The set is designed with 4 to 8 year old readers in mind, and would make a wonderful gift – and a set that any parent would be proud to give to their child!
Adventure Bible Book Of Devotions – Review
Have those of you who read through the Bible on a daily basis and include devotional readings as part of your spiritual practice ever longed for resources to develop those same daily disciplines in your children?
If so, you’ll be thrilled to discover the Adventure Bible Book Of Devotions by Robin Schmitt – a book written specifically with 9 to 12 year olds in mind!
The Adventure Bible Book Of Devotions is written in a style that will help your child to apply the themes of the Bible to their lives. While the format looks similar to a typical devotional book – there is a Bible verse at the top of the page and a “takeaway” at the bottom – the devotional itself is divided into two parts.
The first half of the devotional contains an engaging story about a real child facing real adventures in the real world. The second half provides the reader with a direct object lesson relating to the day’s Bible verse. It’s an engaging format that should hold your child’s interest, and leave him or her longing for more!
Adventure Bible Handbook – Review
Let’s face it: everyone learns differently. Some children are born readers. Others? Well, they may be more visually oriented.
If you have a 9 to 12 year old that prefers action to books – The Adventure Handbook – A Wild Ride Through The Bible by Robin Schmitt & David Frees was probably written with him or her in mind!
The Adventure Bible Handbook is a graphic novel about an archaeologist who disappears during an expedition in the Holy Land – and his four children who end up on a world wide search for their father! Along the way, as they search for clue to their father’s whereabouts, they end up traveling back in time and experiencing biblical events firsthand. They also encounter many life-changing events and truths! In addition to the graphic storyline, there are a lot of useful reference material in this book.
As an adult, I found the font and colors extremely tiny and difficult to read – but the intended audience should have no trouble seeing it with their eagle-eyed vision!

One of our grandsons, 9 years old, is very good about reading the bible. However, he is reading the KJV. I would love to get him one that he can understand. I think he would really enjoy this whole set, but especially the handbook.

Not sure if the last comment went through, the internet went out – ugh.
I am thrilled to see bibles made for kids. I think it will be so helpful for them. I got a six year-old that is very interested in learning about god. It’s cute to go through the prayers with her. 🙂

Well I have one granddaughter who is in love with action books and she would love to read The Adventure Bible Handbook, then my middle granddaughter would love the The Adventure Bible Storybook Deluxe Edition by Catherine DeVries and I think that they both would love the devotional, I believe that presentation of Gods word in other formats and means is important to keep our children interested and help them learn the word of god. Thank you for offering and this review.

I really don’t know – they all are appealing. I would send these to the grand kids ages 2 -10.
You asked for current email address – and it is part of the comment info. It is also part Rafflecopter which you are using to record and track entries. So I’m not putting here. O.k.?

That’s fine, Vera, as long as I have a current e-mail that I can contact you at if you are the winner, you are good to go. You’d be surprised at how many people change their e-mails along the way and don’t think about it – or have multiple e-mails and sign in with one that isn’t the one they check most often. If I don’t hear from people within 48 hours I do a re-draw, so it is really an extra precaution for everyone who takes the time to enter! 🙂
What an interesting concept!

I think my youngest would really enjoy the Adventure Bible Storybook!
The Beanie Babies love any book that has animals in it. The older two are really into religion right now, so a Bible would be great! My current email is on the rafflecopter and here 🙂
