Surprised By Grace – Book Review
You may be surprised to learn that some of the most significant Christian best sellers of all times, such as the The Cross and the Switchblade, The Hiding Place, and God’s Smuggler, were not actually penned by the individuals the books were written about, but by Elizabeth “Tib” Sherrill – an amazing woman who has touched countless lives through her ghost-written books and her inspirational articles for Guideposts magazine for over sixty years!
What you probably do not know is the story behind this incredible woman’s life – and that’s what Surprised By Grace – A True Story Of Relentless Love by Elizabeth Sherrill is all about.
In Surprised By Grace, Elizabeth opens the doors to her heart and takes us on a spiritual journey where she reveals her ever-growing relationship with God throughout the peaks and valleys of her life.
The book is aptly named as Elizabeth – a non-believer when she begins her journey – encounters many life-changing moments along the way.
Surprised By Grace shows us that God can use anyone who is willing to yield their lives to Him – and reminds us that some of the darkest moments in our lives can be used for His good and His grace.
I find it encouraging to read the stories of women who live exceptional lives – women who impact others for eternity.
I find it refreshing to meet women who remind us to live every day with our eternal destination – heaven – in mind.
Elizabeth “Tib” Sherrill is one of those rare women.
If you are looking for a book to encourage you in your walk of faith, read Surprised By Grace and be inspired!
I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

This sounds like a great book, I’ll look into it. I’ve read all 3: God’s Smuggler, Hiding Place & Cross & the Switchblade, and I guess I knew they weren’t written by the main characters, I’ve just never really thought about it. I loved all three books.
