Blind Trust – Book Review
Wherever Kate Adams goes – trouble is sure to follow!
At least that’s the assessment of Detective Tom Parker – a man with a case to solve, a mystery to unravel, and a bit of a soft spot for the amateur sleuth he first met in Deadly Devotion – Book 1 in Sandra Orchard’s Port Aster Secrets Series.
Now, they’re back for another action-packed adventure in Blind Trust – Book 2 in the Port Aster Secrets Series – and if you love solving mysteries – you are going to love this book!
If you are new to the series – as I was – I recommend that you start with Book 1. You can read Blind Trust on its own – but I think you’ll find the experience much more satisfying if you read Deadly Devotion first!
The action in Blind Trust begins immediately, when Kate goes to the store to do pick up some groceries for her elderly neighbor. Before she knows it, she finds herself being arrested for passing counterfeit money – money that her neighbor gave her to pay for the groceries!
Of course, Kate can’t believe that her sweet, elderly neighbor would knowingly give her phony money. And Detective Parker – the officer sent to respond to the call – can’t believe that Kate has turned up in another one of his investigations!
But soon, one disturbing thing after another begins to happen, which raises the question: how many of these mysterious things are related to events stemming from Kate’s past?
I enjoyed the action, pace and drama of Blind Trust very much!
I look forward to reading Book 3 in the series when it releases in June 2015 from Revell Publishing.
I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.
