The Butterfly And The Violin by Kristy Cambron – Review & Giveaway

The Butterfly And The Violin

The Butterfly And The Violin – Book Review

If you are looking for a breathtaking story from a gifted writer, may I introduce you to Kristy Cambron?

Kristy’s first novel, The Butterfly And The Violin, is an incredibly moving World War II story that historical fiction fans will not want to miss!

The Butterfly And The Violin is the tale of two women from different eras whose lives become inextricably woven as a result of a haunting portrait that cries out across the decades.

The storyline alternates between the past and the present.

Sera James is a Manhattan art dealer who is searching for a painting she first saw years ago as a young girl. This painting – a haunting portrait of a mysterious young woman with piercing blue eyes – was like no other she had ever seen. The woman – probably twenty or so – was shorn of her crowning glory, and holding a violin in her left arm that was lined with a row of tattooed numbers.

Sera’s search leads her to another man with an interest in the painting – William Hanover, the grandson of a wealthy California real estate mogul, who owns a copy of the painting but is searching for the original in order to clear up family estate issues.

Sera and William work together to unravel the story behind the painting’s subject: Adele Von Bron.

Adele is a talented Austrian violinist, a beloved member of the Austrian aristocracy, and a daughter to a high-ranking member of the Third Reich who risks everything when she begins to smuggle Jews out of Vienna.

It does not go well for Adele when her secret is discovered…

Sera and Adele’s stories will captivate you as you turn each page. You won’t want to stop reading until you discover how their stories end!

Here is what author Kristy Cambrin says about her new book:

As a student, I was captivated by the innate need of humans to create. As a young Christian, I was inexplicably moved by the glimpses of light in the darkness. Even in the most evil of circumstances, the art of human expression was so powerful that it couldn’t be overshadowed, not even by death. In The Butterfly And The Violin, I did my best to explore this theme. It’s about worship through God’s creation – our lives.

The Butterfly and The Violin, Book One in the Hidden Masterpiece series on the prisoner camp art of the Holocaust, released from Thomas Nelson Publishers in July 2014. A Sparrow In Terezin, Book Two in the Hidden Masterpiece series, is scheduled for release in April, 2015.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
