Hidden In The Stars by Robbin Caroll – Book Review
If you enjoy books that are united by a common thread but prefer stories that don’t leave you hanging, may I recommend the Quilts Of Love series from Abingdon Press?
This unique series features a diverse group of best-selling authors who write standalone historical and contemporary novels that span a wide range of subject matter, themes, and genres. What unifies the series is that each story features a quilt that plays a pivotal role in the plot!
Abingdon Press just released the latest Quilts Of Love book – Hidden In The Stars by Robin Caroll – and her thrilling mystery may just be my favorite story in the series to date!
Hidden In The Stars tells the story of 21-year old Sophia Montgomery – a girl who wakes up to find herself caught between two worlds – neither of which she belongs to.
Outside she finds an environment she doesn’t recognize: one filled with loud beeping noises, bright lights, and the voices of people she doesn’t know.
Inside, she hears voices she doesn’t recognize – brutal voices, terrifying voices – the voices of men who brutally attacked her brutally and left her for dead.
It is a miracle that Sophia is alive.
Her mother was not so lucky.
Detective Julian Frazier is tasked with the challenge of solving Sophia’s case and catching the cold-blooded killers who attacked her. To do so, he must find a way to communicate with her and unravel the mysteries that surround this remarkable yet mysterious girl.
Will Julian be able to keep Sophia safe from another attack?
What would happen if his interest in Sophia took a non-professional turn?
What secrets could a quilt created by Sophia’s mother possibly hold?
With some books, you sit back and watch the story unfold. With others, you feel like you’re right in the middle of the action. Robin has the ability to bring her characters to life – to make their stories real – to make you feel what they are feeling.
From the moment I started reading Hidden In The Stars I was hooked and did not want to put the book down until I had breathed in every last word!
Hidden In The Stars is a wonderful addition to the Quilts Of Love Series and a fabulous introduction to author Robin Caroll.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

It was so well written – a wonderful introduction to this author for me!
Sounds interesting.
I’ve enjoyed and reviewed several books in the Quilts of Love series, but passed on this one because I’m not a suspense fan. I enjoyed your review, though, and would like to read Robin’s book when I can make time. Thanks for sharing!
