What Did I Create This Week?
Today, we are going to take a stroll down memory lane.
Think back to that magical moment in time when you were allowed to go shopping for the very first time – on your own – and buy an item that fashionably represented who you were.
What did you buy?
I was 13 years old and I fell in love with a pair of blue jeans.
Not just any blue jeans, mind you.
A pair of stonewashed, hip-hugging bell-bottoms with embroidered flowers on them.
They were the prettiest, most feminine blue jeans I had ever seen.
At the time, I bought them with my savings, wore them until they were threadbare, and thought I was the hippest kid in town!
Today’s birthday card – Forever In Blue Jeans – was created with all of the young Fashionistas in mind who love their glamour and glitz – but, at the end of the day – would trade it in for a cozy yet fashionable pair of jeans!
And yes – of course – the classic Neil Diamond song was playing as I created this card!

Lovely card! The Neil Diamond song sprang to mind as soon as I saw the title of your blog, and sure enough you mention him later. Coincidentally my husband and I were listening to a Neil Diamond playlist this evening after supper. My fav are the relatively recent ones Pretty Amazing Grace and Last Train to Georgia.

Hmm, I remember buying a pair of sandals. The song immediately popped into my mind when I read the title of the post! The card is great and it definitely reminds me of those hip hugger pant days. Something else that was popular where I grew up (in the 70s) was sailor pants. Ah, the memories.
