This feels like a set up…
If you are the loving parents of four-footed, fur-covered kids, one thing’s for certain: as much as you love your pets, messes are bound to happen – usually, at the most inconvenient times.
For instance, we recently cleaned the carpets in our home – no small feat – and had enjoyed about 12 hours of stain-free, fur-free carpet when I walked into the hallway and was greeted by a surprise so vile, I will spare you the gory details.
Let’s just say that one of my cats – I’m not sure who – was not feeling well that morning.
Thanks to my friends at Chewy.com, however, I was prepared for just such an occasion.
I did NOT make that mess!
A few months ago they sent me a bottle of Simple Solution Extreme Stain & Odor Remover to review. Simple Solution is a professional strength Extreme cleaning formula that is three times more powerful than most enzymatic formulas and the only pro-bacteria and enzyme formula that works faster on the toughest pet stains. It’s designed to remove all everything your pets could deposit on your carpets that you really don’t want to find there – and to completely eliminate odors and discourage them from repeat marking. It’s also safe for use around pets and children.
Now, I have to tell you – I have tried a lot of similar products and have found them lacking – but I was impressed with how well this one worked!

The instructions were simple:
Spray it on the stain – let it set for 5 minutes – then blot it up with a paper towel.
The product has a slight fragrance to it – I am sensitive to fragrance but did not find it objectionable – and the fragrance dissipated after a short period of time.
I applied the product to the stain my cat had left and then within minutes could see the stain starting to fade. Because my carpet is light (beige) and the stain was particularly dark, I ended up applying extra product to the stain. I was surprised by how well the product worked. When I checked back a day later – the stain was completely gone!
Anyway, I am glad to have this easy-to-use product on hand for the next time an accident occurs and recommend it to you if you have a furry family who’s bound to need a little housecleaning help every now and then!

Every time Mom tries one of these, she never seems to get the promised results. She has gone back to Bac-Out and finds it works better than anything. Thanks for the review. I know what you mean – during emergencies we grab whatever we can find at the local store and they never seem to give the promised results!
I was really dubious about this product for this reason but with it really did a great job! I have before and after photos but ended up not posting them because – quite frankly – looking at beige carpet with ebola-shaped stains isn’t very exciting and the after photo looks like a big beige swatch.
