Chicken Soup For The Soul - Christmas In Canada

Chicken Soup For The Soul – Christmas In Canada – Book Review

I am not Canadian. Although I’ve always wanted to visit my Northern neighbors, I’ve never had the opportunity to do so. But – Christmas knows no geographic boundaries – and this season, Create With Joy is happy to spread the holiday spirit with Christmas Soup For The Soul – Christmas In Canada – 101 Stories About The Joy And Wonder Of The Holidays!

First things first: Although this book is written by Canadians, and will certainly be on my Canadian readers’ wish lists – this book isn’t just for Canadians!

Christmas In Canada is written for everyone who loves celebrating Christmas – who looks forward to the wonder and magic that the Christmas holidays hold – who wants to keep the Christmas spirit alive long after December 25 has come and gone.

Christmas In Canada is written for Canadians – but it’s also written for me and you!

What types of stories will you find inside of Christmas In Canada? Let’s take a peek inside:

  • The Spirit Of Christmas
  • Holiday Celebrations & Traditions
  • Holiday Memories
  • O Christmas Tree!
  • The Santa Files
  • A Winter Wonderland
  • Taking Care Of Each Other
  • Angels In Our Midst
  • The True Meaning Of Christmas
  • The Spirit Of Giving

With so many delightful categories vying for your attention, it will be hard for all but the most disciplined among us to read this book from beginning to end (I’ll confess – I tend to be a random reader when it comes to Chicken Soup For The Soul as I cannot resist skipping around!)

If you’re looking for a wonderful collection of Christmas stories to warm your hearts this season, Chicken Soup For The Soul – Christmas In Canada deserves a place under your Christmas tree or in your stocking.

I live in Canada and our tradition is to have a Ukranian Christmas Eve meal.
I just love it, everything is all homemade by me, perogies and cabbage rolls and we always have fish with the meal.

  5. Lauren Becker says:

One family tradition is opening gifts on Christmas Eve. 🙂

My favorite Christmas tradition is opening one gift each on Christmas Eve with my Mom. Another favorite is making the family Christmas donation to the animal shelter.

  7. Ellen Pilch says:

Sounds like a nice book. I have read all the Chicken Soup ones about cats.

  8. maria says:

I love watching Christmas movies! Home Alone every year!

  9. Barb says:

Being a Canadian, I cordially invite you to visit our fine land some time soon! You will love it. I have to say I love our snowy weather at Christmas time and my family has a tradition of doing an outdoor activity – skiing, skating, sledding and then coming in for hot chocolate! My kind of Christmas.

  10. Karen Martin says:

The best christmas tradition is mummering. We dress up in silly outfits with our face completely covered. Then we visit our family and friends homes for music and socialable drink while they try and figure out who we are.

I get a new bird ornament each year to put on my tree that is all birds or anything related to birds.

My other tradition is that I bake several people my famous gingerbread cookies. I seem to pick up more people each year that want a plateful of them! I have had to say I can’t, especially when I am having a bad spell with my RA and Fibromyalgia!

I love bird ornaments – especially peacocks – and would buy them for the tree if it weren’t for the fact that that would just be ASKING for trouble considering I have a house full of cats! 🙂

Your cookies sound fab! Have a wonderful Christmas season!
