What’s On My Work Desk This Week?
Happy WOYWW to you, dear friends! Spring is in the air – can you feel it? While we are still a week and a half away from the official start of spring, I’m feeling the energy of spring burst forth in my creative projects!
Spring is bursting forth in the crafting realm too, as paper crafters around the globe pull out their brightest spring greens, pinks and oranges – their prettiest flowers and blooms – and their sweetest stamps, punches and embellishments to create extraordinary cards and gifts for their friends and families!
Today’s card exemplifies these themes.
This year, I’ve begun working my way through some of the pretty patterned papers I’ve been stashing for no good reason.
I turned to my 6 x 6 SEI Jocelyn paper pad – combined a few of the patterned papers with a backdrop of pretty pink paper from a 6 x 6 TLC Paper Stackz pad – and began creating my own flower garden!
I layered and cut the Jocelyn papers to create a sunburst effect, then added bursts of stamped and layered flowers and a glittery butterfly to bring my garden to life!
I also filled my garden with the pretty flowers found in my Scotch Decorative Tape – you know, the tape I’ve been incorporating into every project I possibly can!
For my sentiment, I created a distressed tag that I popped out of a pretty stitched pink and orange pocket (pulling from some of the colors from the patterned SEI papers) and placing the message of gratitude front and center for the card’s recipient!

I admit that I am not into card making HOWEVER I truly adore this one! I think my attraction is that it looks similar to an art journal page. The colors just pop. Great card for the first day of spring.

A Little Bit O’ Paper
This is so pretty and I love the colorful butterfly!
I really ought to try making my own cards. The ones in the store never say what I’m thinking.
I love the idea of sending thank you cards to people! Why isn’t this done more often? It’s so great when someone shows their appreciation to someone for doing something nice.
