Welcome To Wordless Wednesday At Create With Joy!
Quote Of The Week
Letting the cat out of the bag
Is a whole lot easier than putting it back in!

Cats And Bags
Have you ever gone to the grocery store,
Come home and unpacked your bags,
Only to discover something unexpected rustling inside of your packages?
If there’s a kitten in the house,
A sight such as this is probably not unfamiliar to you!
Felines of all ages love to play inside bags –
They love the safety that cozy spaces provide and
The crinkly sounds they make.
Some cats like Tsunami even like to lick the bags!
Bags can present unexpected dangers to cats, however.
Plastic bags can cause suffocation or choking hazards.
Baby Tsunami was moved to safety after his antics were discovered!
Paper bags should have their handles removed
As cats can get their heads stuck in them
And injure themselves trying to escape!
It’s fun to watch cats play with bags –
But watch them closely (and never give them plastic ones!)
Do your cats play with bags?

My cat Yeti has a frightening obsession with anything plastic, so we have learned to be extremely careful about leaving anything plastic around, including shopping bags. He adores chewing on them and will even run away with it in his mouth if he thinks we are going to take his “precious” away. I found him hiding out in my closet the other day. I thought he just wanted to nap on the cozy sweaters, but turns out he had found my hidden stash of bubblewrap! I finally had to move it to a new hiding place where he wouldn’t be able to reach it. We lost another cat to an intestinal blockage a few years ago and I certainly don’t want to have to repeat that sad event, so our whole family tries to be extra vigilant. #SITSSharefest
