Exile: Part 3 of Guy Erma And The Son Of Empire – Book Review
The first thing that you need to know about Exile: Part 3 of Guy Erma And The Son Of Empire is that this is not a stand-alone book.
Exile is the exciting conclusion to Sally Ann Melia’s Guy Erma and the Son Of Empire – the Young Adult / Science Fiction series that first introduced us to 13-year old Prince Teodor and Guy Erma. These two boys are from completely different backgrounds but their fates became intertwined when Prince Teodor is kidnapped.
Now, Prince Theodor has managed to escape from the evil clutches of his captor with the help of Guy Erma – but how will they manage to find their way home?
Circumstance has caused Prince Theodor and Guy Erma to work together and form a bond and friendship, but does that mean they can really trust one another with their deepest, darkest secrets?
What will happen when – in the process of escaping – the boys discover a secret weapon that’s so deadly, it’s capable of destroying entire planets?
Will Guy Erma ever learn the truth about his past?
A non-stop adventure and a journey of discovery awaits Prince Theodor, Guy Erma and you in Exile, but hurry – you’re all racing against the clock!
Like its predecessors, the paperback version of Exile contains black and white illustrations that complement the storyline. I love the cover illustration of Nell – but wish the book was the same size as its predecessors (it’s smaller, so it doesn’t line up evenly with the others on my bookshelf!)
If you are a fan of Science Fiction stories that contain lots of political intrigue, action and suspense, and are willing to delve into the complex plot and get to know the characters, you’ll enjoy reading Exile and find the reward of reading this series well worth the effort!
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
