Heart Dancing by Kathryn Eriksen – Book Review
Heart Dancing – A Story Alchemy Adventure by Kathryn Eriksen takes us into the lives of Brian, Christine and their 14-year old daughter Savanna – a family on the brink of divorce when a dark secret from their past threatens to unravel their current lives.
Savanna is deeply affected by the choices her parent is making and begins making poor choices as a student. This leads to several encounters with Janet Anderson – the principal of her school – and a woman who is not quite the person Savanna thought she was.
Everything happens for a reason – we just can’t see it sometimes.
That’s what Principal Anderson tells her – but it’s a lesson that 14-year old Savanna must learn for herself as she tries to cope with the pending divorce of her parents, Brian and Christine.
Soon, Savanna finds herself on an unexpected spiritual and mystical journey that requires her to change her perspective on life and the things she believes are true.
Heart Dancing introduces readers to Story Alchemy – a 4-step process that Savanna and her family uses to transform their beliefs about their past that threaten their current peace and happiness.
The book also introduces the concept of Miracle Tokens – bits of inspiration, advice and wisdom that can be printed and given to others as many times as you like – “spiritual currency” that you give away without expecting anything in return.
Heart Dancing is an interesting story with characters that are easy to relate to and a storyline that will appeal to readers looking for New Age inspiration – but one that should be read with discernment by Christians because in spite of its appearance, many of the spiritual principles promoted within this book are not biblical in nature.
I rate the book 3 out of 5 stars.

It sounds like a very interesting book. I love mysteries, so when I find out someone has a secret past, I love trying to guess what it might be!
