Every year as we enter into a new Christmas season, I look for that one special musical recording that will make the meaning of the holy day resonate within my spirit.
This year, that recording is Adore by Christian contemporary music artist, worship leader and songwriter Chris Tomlin.
Adore – Chris’s second Christmas album – features a combination of classic and original Christmas songs. What makes Adore so special and sets it apart from many of the other Christmas albums on the market is that the songs were recorded live, in a church, to capture the heart of worship.

About Chris Tomlin
Chris is an American Christian contemporary music artist, worship leader, and songwriter who has sold nearly 30 million records. His most well-known songs include “How Great Is Our God” and “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)”.
His 2013 album Burning Lights debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, only the fourth Christian album ever to open at No.1. Throughout his career, Chris has been nominated for 32 Dove Awards (6 of them collaborative efforts) and he has won 19 of them.

My favorite is Do You Hear What I Hear?

I love all the traditional songs from the Hymnal Book 🙂
My favorite Christmas song is “Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring”. It’s a classical piece that doesn’t have a lot of commercial appeal, but it is moving and beautiful.

I am not sure I have a favorite Christmas song. I like so many of them it is really hard to choose. For years my favorite was a cd by Amy Grant and one by Reba. I also like Faith Hill’s a baby changes everything. But there are so many good ones….

Some of my favorites are O Holy Night, O Come, O Come Emmanuel, Silent Night, and In the Bleak Midwinter.
My favorite christmas song is Angels we have heard by Bryan Duncan. Most anything he does I love. I also like Oh little town by John Berry. That song moves me to tears.
