Southern Cooking For Company – Book Review & Giveaway

Southern Cooking For Company

Southern Cooking For Company – Book Review

Are you a fan of Southern cooking? Do you love to entertain? If so, you’ll be delighted to know that Nashville native Nicki Pendleton Wood brings the best of both worlds together in her latest cookbook, Southern Cooking For Company: More than 200 Southern Hospitality Secrets and Show-Off Recipes!

Southern Cooking For Company was written with one goal in mind: to help make you a better hostess! In this cookbook, Nicki gathers the best recipes and advice from Southern cooks from Texas to Maryland, from Kentucky to Florida, and everywhere in-between, and shares the strategies and hosting tips that work for them!

This cookbook is attractively designed so that ingredients are set in a sidebar – the recipes are written in paragraph form with serving information – and information about the recipe (author, hostess tips, and other tidbits) are highlighted at the top of each page for easy referencing.

There is a smattering of color photographs of recipes provided throughout the books; the recipes that are photographed look delicious.

Of course, recipes like Slow Cooker Pulled Pork and Orange-Pecan Wild Rice don’t necessarily need visuals, but they’re always nice to have!

Regardless, Southern Cooking For Company will make a nice edition to your home.

I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.
