The Story Of The Christmas Kitty
Merry Christmas to you! My name is Magellan and I am the Christmas Kitty at Create With Joy! Did I ever tell you the story of how I came into everyone’s lives?
Two years ago, when I was still a wee little kitten, I jet-setted from the North Pole (or thereabouts) to my brother’s new home – a resort McMansion – where my new parents were coming to pick me up and take me to my forever home!
When I arrived at the McMansion, however, my brother’s parents had failed to secure us in a safe room – something all new kitten owners should do – believing that we would stay where they left us. As soon as they turned their backs on us, we scampered off and began to explore the enormous McMansion on our own!
When my parents arrived – after their four-hour drive – I was nowhere to be found!
Every one panicked. Six adults began crawling over every nook and cranny of that McMansion looking for us. What they discovered was, you cannot find a kitten until he is ready to be found!
This is me shortly after I arrived in my new home. I wailed the entire car ride home!
Five hours later, I emerged from my secret spot (a cozy stack of pillows piled mile-high on the big bed where no one could see us) – refreshed and ready to play!
I marched over to the brand new expensive toy that my brother’s Mom had brought him to play with – a beautiful carpeted cube with an attached coiled toy to play with – and somehow managed to break my brother’s toy within five minutes of play time.
I remember the McMansion Mom muttering what a naughty instigator I was as she ushered me and my parents out of the door…
Every year my parents re-live the story of the mischievous way I entered their lives – of how they thought they had lost me before they even found me – and of how they can’t imagine their lives without me!
Classic stories like these never grow old!

That is a sweet story about Magellan, the McMansion but have been huge…glad he finally appeared. Our little furiends are so much company and make us laugh and frustrated from time to time.

That is a great story. I am glad you eventually were found so you could enjoy your new family. We like to tell how Prancie went to Jesus for help. She was a stray that showed up at our nativity .

What a cool story Magellan! Many years ago I went through a similar story, but unfortunately the kitty disappeared forever (he was left in the backyard and when I got there we couldn’t find him). so, you are one lucky kitten!
