Cozy Bed, Cozy Cat by Magellan
Last night, when I was making my evening rounds, I discovered a wonderful surprise.
Mom was about to put fresh flannel sheets on the bed just for me!
To show her how much I appreciated the gesture, I immediately jumped on the bed just as she started to tuck in the corners of the fitted sheets. I began inspecting every inch of the sheets to help ensure that there were no wrinkles in her handiwork since she hates to sleep on crinkles!
I heard her murmuring about a big huge lump in the bed and moving tunnels but try as I might, I couldn’t find a single one of them under the sheets or comforter!
Finally, she finished making the bed and tried to coax me out, but the bed was so warm and cozy, I couldn’t imagine leaving it! After all, I didn’t want her to think I didn’t appreciate her efforts…
So – when she finally came back a little while later – tuckered and ready to turn in – guess whose sweet little face was peeking out from beneath the covers in the sweet spot in the middle of the bed!
Fortunately, Mom has a sleep sofa for moments like this!

The worst feeling is when you are under the covers, overheat, and you can’t get out because you are trapped by the weight of your cats…
(although – I guess when you are surrounded by cats who love you – there are WAY worse feelings than that!)
