Magellan Reviews Tiki Cat Gourmet Carnivore Cat Food
Imagine my surprise when I sauntered into the kitchen one bright and sunny California morning and found a dozen cans of Tiki Cat Gourmet Carnivore Variety Pack Canned Cat Food sitting out on the table, just waiting for me and my brother to discover.
So many colors! So many flavors! My eyes grew as wide as saucers!
Tsunami – come quickly! You’ve got to see what I just found!
Since I am super-picky about what I eat (after all, I have my pick of the very best foods from Chewy.com!), I thought I’d read the label to see what Tiki Cat is all about. Here is what I discovered:
Tiki Gourmet Carnivore provides cats with a gourmet menu that matches their natural prey diet! The recipes are grain and gluten-free – carbohydrate, starch and flour free – and made with whole meats and added vitamins, minerals and trace nutrients. The food is 55% protein, 35% fat, and zero glycemic index.
Sounds good, right? Now, Tsunami, which of these amazing flavors should we try first?
- Beef & Liver (1)
- Beef, Liver & Chicken (1)
- Beef, Liver & Lamb (1)
- Bonito Tuna (1)
- Chicken & Liver (2)
- Chicken with Duck (2)
- Chicken with Turkey (2)
- Seabass (1)
- Tilapia (1)
Should have known that Tsunami would pick the Chicken with Turkey!
Now if only I can figure out how to open the can…
At last – breakfast is served! The verdict? Tiki Cat Gourmet Carnivore tastes good and is good for you!
Perhaps I’ll help Tsunami eat his meal and save my plate for second breakfast (a habit I fondly share with the hobbits!)
Disclosure: Magellan and Tsunami received a free sample of this food for review purposes from Chewy.com. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely their own.

Have a kittytastic week 🙂
They will share with you! 🙂
Oh my kitty buffet, what fund for them. Now I know why they have such beautiful coats of fur!!
Purrs and Hugs
Karren
Thanks Karren – they do have luscious coats of fur! 🙂
Your cats are so adorable! Great review!
Thank you so much Tina!
Always remember that food dish is the most important.
Oh, how they run when they hear the clinking of their plates!
Its been awhile since I last saw them! Still as cute as I remember them to be =)
Thanks Merlinda! 🙂
I’m experimenting with new food for our cat. He has been so stressed following the move and off his food, that I want to find something he will devour.
Your poor cat – moves are SO stressful on them!
I hope you can find a high-quality cat food that he will enjoy! 🙂
The photo of Magellan and Tsunami eating from the same plate is too cute! Thanks for the linkup, hope you are having a wonderful week!
Isn’t that funny? I have tried putting their plates at opposite ends of the table – but then they just swish their tales in each other’s plates!
Apparently, Liam thinks the cat food is better than his puppy food! We’re trying to get that worked out with him. 🙂
Have a great day Ramona!
They are just like children – always wanting what’s on someone else’s plate!
Every time I try a new food – as you can see from today’s photos – Magellan HAS to eat off of his brother’s plate (as if I am feeding them separate foods) – even though I have gone through the effort of preparing them their own dishes right before their watchful eyes!
I bet he loved that food. Thanks for hosting! Have a great day!
Oh they were both happy cats – and they still have 11 more cans to go!
Nice review. I usually stick with chicken or turkey because they all like that.
Thanks Ellen! Tsunami LOVES poultry! So does Magellan – but we recently discovered that he has a hankering for fish as well!
Magellan and Tsunami, you sure make that food look tasty! And it’s good for you? It’s a win-win situation! 🙂
Magellan’s got the yummies!!! That’s one hungry kitty it looks like… come on Seymour “FEED ME”!!!! bwahahahaha Have a kitty-licious day!!!! hugs
It’s awesome that it is grain and gluten-free. Magellan and Tsunami really seem to enjoy it!
Yes, both Mom and the kitties are doing their best to avoid the grains and the gluten – now if we can just get Dad on board…
This is a food we haven’t tried. Mom’s read some positive reviews so she might chose it for us if Chewy offers it again. Thanks for the review, Kitties Blue
I haven’t read any other reviews on this food so I’m glad to hear that other kitties are enjoying it too!
Give it a try – I’m sure at least one of your cats will like it! 🙂
Those look so good.
Yummy. I am glad you all liked the new cat food.
Thats some yummy foods you gotted!
Weze agree with the chicken and turkey pick… sounds purrlicious!
It was pretty good – but I, Magellan, had a hankering for some fish! 🙂
Lucky you – you get to devour all that tasty food! I need someone to send me food, no one feeds me around here and I starve to death. Imagine forcing me to eat only once a day with a few snacks.
That’s terrible! If I were there I’d surely sneak you a goodie or two!
We’ve been hearing a lot about that food. M said she really must buy some one of these days and let me have a “go” at it. Thanks for the good review.
I have been hearing some good things about the Tiki foods!!
Wow! That food does look a lot better than the traditional canned cat food. Alice might even eat it. Hope your boys enjoyed it. 🙂
I have been amazed by how “good” some of these premium cat foods look!
I weighed Magellan this morning and he weighed in at 16 pounds so I would say he has been enjoying his duties as the Royal Taste Tester (a job we both know Tsunami relishes!)
