Thank you so much for the feature this week! I am excited to be able to serve God with teaching others about Him on my site. Thank you hosting this great party and for stopping by and linking up with us every week at Sitting Among Friends. I am happy to be connecting!

  5. LuAnn Braley says:

Well, this is interesting. The job I miss the most and the least is the same job! *lol*

I worked for four years at a residential facility for adults with MR/DD.

I miss the residents. One older woman would holler, “Awww. Lucy come back,” every time she saw me through the window. And there was the woman who loved Mel Tillis (aka “Mel T”). I loved taking people to the gym for the sing-a-long (church) on Sundays. I learned a lot about joy from clients.

I don’t miss the back-to-back double shifts the first year. I don’t miss the supervisors who were always ready with high-handed disrespect, but were nowhere to be found when things got dangerous. (Not all of them were like that, thank goodness.)

And you know what? If I saw one of them, even now, years later, out in public and possibly causing danger to themselves or others, or being disrespected because of their appearance or manner, I would still step inbetween them and the danger. Even for the ones that sent me to the hospital.

  6. I’m so glad that Jaime was featured! Wishing you a lovely weekend.

  7. Leigh says:

    Thanks for the party!

  8. Yay for Jaime! I love her link-up too! Thanks for hosting, Ramona! Have a great weekend!

  9. Mary Denman says:

Hi Ramona, I’m a little late but here. 🙂 My surgery went interestingly. It was supposed to be arthroscopic (with a little camera and little incisions) but ended up more extensive. I’m going to be on the sofa for quite a while. The Dr. told my hubby he’d explain it all in a couple of weeks when I go to get the cast off. 🙂

I hope you have a great weekend!

    • Hi Mary,

I hope that you are being waited on hand and foot and being treated like a PRINCESS while you recuperate!

I am home sick some bug that is going around town that is taking people 3-4 weeks to kick so if it is any consolation –
I am spending a lot of time on the couch right now too!

      Feel better!

  10. I haven’t done anything in so long, with my Pinterest.

Was never sure how to go about it, especially as a way to share my blogging.

Added my page to the list and am going to give it some thought for the future.

    • Hi Kiril,

      I just followed you! 🙂

Since Pinterest is so visually oriented, I would start by boosting the content on your boards with great visual content – both from your blogs and from others – that interest both you and your readers.

You’re more than welcome to pin my posts 🙂

There are a lot of great articles on Pinterest out there so when you’re ready to focus on it, you’ll have no trouble finding information to help you out! 🙂

      Have an amazing weekend!

      • Followed you back!

Discovered that someone I am familiar with invited me to pin their TNR Cat Resources Pins! Don’t know when they did so, but will reach out to them after checking their Pinterest.

      • How awesome Kiril!
Once you start getting active you will start getting invites join group boards as well!
Thanks for following me as well.
        Enjoy your weekend!

    Thanks for hosting!!

  12. I did not see that we were asked to introduce ourselves in the comments…missed that at first. So here goes…
I am Charlotte of Charlotte’s Corner Cafe. I write a lifestyle blog. I love to review different things, write about the funny things going on in my life, share meaningful insights…my tag line is “A place to come have a virtual cup of coffee with friends”. I want my blog to be a place that friends come to share 🙂
I am a nurse, which is pretty much the only job I’ve had. I love nursing and that I am able to care for others in their time of need. I would say nursing can at times be my favorite job and others be my worst job…it can be so stressful. Overall, I am glad that I went into this field and enjoy interacting with the patients and families.

    • Welcome Charlotte! So glad you caught the Chat In The Comments! If anyone else missed it, there’s a weekly Chat In The Comments Question and an ongoing invite to introduce yourselves and your blogs so that we can get to know you better! 🙂

So nice to hear that you are a nurse and are in a profession that you love! Glad that you have a chance to blog as well – isn’t it fun?

Look forward to getting to know you! 🙂

  13. I owned my own Nail salon and manicuring school, I loved working with the students but developed many good friends from my clients of 25 years. After I sold the salon and school, I eventually went back into retail sales, I was a manager and coordinator for fashion shows, the part of the job that I loved. There were others but I dont have one that I disliked, I liked them all and enjoyed the friendships I made.

Thanks for hosting, hope you have a great weekend!

  14. the job I miss the most is the one I went to college for Health Educator loved being in front of a group and teaching them preventive health techniques but unfortunately got sick not long after graduating with ms and now I blog while I wait for disability. But you know I still get to teach through my blog and learn new things like my art journaling so no loss just a new way of doing things. Thank you ramona for hosting zen hugs all around and frankie sends purrs to tsunami and magellan

    • I’m so glad that you have been able to find an outlet in blogging to help you gain a new leash on life in the midst of ms.
So glad you could join us once again Lorraine.
Have an amazing weekend and give Frankie a big hug! 🙂

  15. Thanks for hosting this! Have a great weekend.
