One popular book in the series is Exalting Jesus In Ecclesiastes by Dr. Daniel L. Akin, Jonathan Aikin, Ph.D., Tony Merida, and David Platt.

One of the things that makes this commentary so readable is that, instead of structuring the book as a verse-by-verse commentary, the authors identify the main concept of each section at the beginning of the chapter – provide a mini-outline so you can easily follow the sections they are discussing – and then provide commentary that strikes the perfect balance between intellectual rigor and cultural reference.

Another thing I like about the commentaries is that they are slim. At 146 pages, you can easily carry Exalting Jesus In Ecclesiastes back and forth to church and class and you can actually find space for it on your bookshelf – an important consideration for many students and teachers.

Exalting Jesus In Ecclesiastes enhanced my understanding of the Biblical book of Ecclesiastes. I would definitely add other books from the Christ-Centered Exposition Commentary Series to my personal library should the opportunity arise!
