Danielle Walker’s Against All Grain Celebrations – Book Review
Every year, as we plan for our holiday feasts, it seems that our culinary needs are changing. As much as our guests have enjoyed parties past where rich, decadent treats have left us feeling a little tight in the waistband, in recent years, our bodies have been craving equally delicious but healthier choices.
That’s why I’m so excited to turn to Danielle Walker’s Against All Grain Celebrations this year as I begin to plan for my family’s festivities. This newly released cookbook from the two-time New York Times best-selling author of Against All Grain and Meals Made Simple features 125 grain-free, dairy-free and gluten-free comfort food dishes for holidays and special occasions!
What’s special about this book is that it’s not just a collection of recipes, but it’s also a set of menus for twelve special occasions throughout the year!
Inside, you’ll discover stunning, full-cover photographs to complement the mouth-watering recipes and perfect party-planning ideas that will inspire you to entertain for annual occasions such as Easter Brunch, the Fourth Of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve as well as special occasions such as birthdays, baby and bridal showers!
What I like most about Against All Grain Celebrations is that I feel I can trust the author and her recipes. Danielle understands the importance of serving familiar but special food your guests will love on important occasions. In Against All Grain Celebrations, Danielle transforms her most cherished family traditions into trustworthy recipes that guests with special needs can safely eat, and guest with regular palates can enjoy!
I also appreciate that many of these recipes can be mixed and matched among the menus and can be incorporated into your weekly menus!
If you are looking for a wonderful cookbook to help you ring in the holidays and to help you elevate special occasions throughout the year, Danielle Walker’s Against All Grain Celebrations will help you to celebrate in style and in a healthier way!
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

This cookbook sounds awesome! Since I have switched to a gluten-free, dairy-free, corn-free diet (losing 30 pounds) it is difficult to come up with a variety of good-tasting meals. This sounds like just what I need! Thanks for reviewing it.
