Friend Of The Week – Tanya

tanya-fierro

Do you live with chronic illness (or know someone who does)? Do you do your best to encourage, inspire, and support others, regardless of your circumstances, and enjoy connecting with others who share those same goals?

If so, you’ll be delighted to meet Tanya – the blogger who writes about faith, family and home, and shares how she lives the abundant life in the midst of chronic illness at My Fruitful Home!

Tanya is the mom of two teenagers – a boy and a girl – and was married the year after she graduated from college. Shortly after her first daughter was born, she became very ill and passed away 2 ½ years later. During that time, Tanya also became ill and was ultimately diagnosed with fibromyalgia and CFS. She’s been living with those illnesses for over 20 years, and she started her blog to encourage others who are also dealing with these challenges and to create something beautiful.

I´m Lilia, welcome to my Knitting and Crochet World, I love knit, crochet and design beautiful patterns for all ages and seasons. Also I like all kind of crafts and tutorials, I like to learn every day something new!

about the question, How I cheer me up?, I have a deep inside conversation with myself, I ask myself, what is the problem and how I can resolve it? sometimes the answer comes fast and sometimes not, you have to work and know your inside to receive an answer, when I feel down or dessapointed I look what I have right now, I have my family and without them things will be double, triple, one million times, more difficult, so I thanks God for what I have and that make me feel better and start all over again, no matter what is the problem or what is my sadness.

Great response to this week’s question.

How do I cheer myself up… hmmmm I have a few ways I love to crochet and watch old movies… or Christmas movies no matter what time of year it is. In fact today my back was really giving me some heavy duty pain (I have Spinal Stenosis) & I laid down on the couch for a bit and then I put the TV on and believe it or not I found the Preacher’s Wife with Whitney Houston and I watched it and crocheted and I felt a whole lot better. Have a great weekend my friend.

Thanks for hosting! You always have so many interesting things to look at on your Friday linky party. The pink painted pumpkins really stood out to me and they’re a great idea for cancer awareness. Take care and God bless!

  4. Pam says:

Happy Friday! I really enjoyed your review of the coloring bible. I’m ordering one for my BFF for Christmas!

How do I cheer myself up? Usually, music will do this for me. Sometimes I talk a little walk. I also try to remember that, no matter what I’m doing I’m supposed to give my all and that will help me snap out of it.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

So glad you enjoyed my coloring book review Pam! I have some more creative reviews and giveaways coming that you should enjoy as well – watch for them! 🙂

Music is one of the big ways that I “mood shift” when I’m feeling low. Walking helps too when I can get myself moving! 🙂

      Enjoy your week!

  5. What a huge gathering this week! Thanks for your faithfulness.

Thanks for hosting the link up!!

It’s hard to get cheered up when I’m down, but making a mental list of all the things I’m thankful/reasons I have to be thankful helps me have a better perspective on my life:)

  10. JoDitt says:

How do I cheer myself up? I encourage myself in the LORD, like David did. I thank God for who I am in Christ, and for who He is for me. Sometimes I will also color, hand-letter or illustrate Scriptures.

    Thanks so much for hosting!!

    Hi!
    My name is Clare,
I just stumbled across this Blog today and I am super excited to have found it! I feel most happy when my mind is busy creating things. I think this cheers me up 🙂 I especially love DIY projects to decorate or improve my home. This last year I have been doing up my 3 children’s bedrooms (a boy a girl and a baby – to be born next week!) and it has been SO much fun! Also when I need cheering up … a cupcake with an encouraging friend and a reminder of the things that are going well in my life seems to help (based on Philippians 4:8, a favourite bible verse).

My Blog is called “My life in step” Where I write about things I am learning and pondering about faith and life with my husband and children. I also share step by step tutorials and tips for some of the DIY craft projects I do. http://www.mylifeinstep.com

What a pleasure it is to meet you! How exciting that you have a new baby on the way any day – congrats!
Look forward to getting to know you and Phil 4:8 is one of my favorite verses too! 🙂

  15. What a great party! Thanks so much for sharing it with us at Share The Wealth Sunday!
