KJV Journal The Word Bible (Large Print) – Book Review

KJV Journal The Word Bible (Large Print) – Book Review

I’ve been journaling in my Bible for as long as I can remember. At first, it began with highlighting and underlining key words and passages I wanted to remember. Then, it expanded to include writing notes in the margins. Most recently, I’ve begun to include artwork with some of my entries as well.

In order to effectively journal – no matter what form your journaling takes – you really need a wide-margin Bible that provides you with plenty of room to write and create to your heart’s content.

It used to be challenging to find Bibles that provided you with enough space to write in. These days, thanks to the booming interest in creative Bible Journaling, it’s easier than ever to find a good Journaling Bible in the translation that you prefer and even in a larger print if your eyes require it.

For many, the KJV Journal The Word Bible (Large Print) will be an answer to prayer. Written in the time-honored tradition of the King James Version translation and printed in 10 point font (which doesn’t sound big but in the world of 7.9 font Journaling Bibles, is larger than most), those of you who are looking for a classic KJV Journaling Bible with plenty of room for note-taking will find that this Bible more than meets your needs.

Here are a few of the KJV Journal The Word Bible’s features:

  • A plain black cover that can easily be painted, collaged or decoupaged by creative types
  • Lined, wide margins for notes, reflections and art
  • Elegant, thicker, cream paper for long-lasting notes
  • Larger, 10-point font to eliminate eye strain when reading
  • Words of Christ in red
  • Ribbon marker and outer strap to hold Bible closed

Now, even if the King James Version isn’t your translation of choice, if you are serious about Bible study, I recommend using this Bible for your word studies, as most references are keyed to the KJV and this Bible allows you to take notes right next to the words and passages you are studying!

One thing to note – if you already own a Journaling Bible in a smaller font size, you will find that this Bible is probably a little thicker and heavier than your current Bible, due to the larger print size (which results in more pages). As a result, you may find this Bible better suited to home use than travel.

The benefits of the larger font far outweigh the weight issue, however. This Bible is definitely worth your consideration – particularly if there is a man in your life who could use a nice, neutral Bible in which to take his notes!

I rate this Bible 5 out of 5 stars.

I guess I’m officially getting older, because “large print” raises my pulse a few points! *lol* Seriously, though, anything that makes scripture accessible to more people is a good thing!
