The Parables Of Jesus Coloring Book Devotional – Book Review
Have you ever done a Bible Study that focuses specifically on the parables of Jesus Christ? I haven’t – so I was particularly delighted to discover The Parables of Jesus Coloring Book Devotional by Laura James and Katara Washington Patton – a book that invites you to explore the parables in a unique and creative way!
The Parables of Jesus Coloring Book Devotional is a large, inviting book that invites you to explore 46 Scriptures (each conveniently provided in the text), along with an inspiring devotional and a thought-provoking journaling prompt or prayer for spiritual reflection.
When you flip the page, you’ll discover a stunning illustration to accompany the parable. As you color each lesson, you have the opportunity to worship God by expressing and exploring your creative gifts, to reflect on the lessons He is teaching you, and to strengthen and affirm your faith.
There are also extra pages in the back of the book for note-taking and reflection.
This is not your run-of-the-mill coloring book. Each devotion and illustration in The Parables of Jesus Coloring Book Devotional is printed on an individual page (i.e., there is nothing on the back of the page) so you can color or paint your pages to your heart’s delight without worrying about shadowing or bleed-through. This is a thick, quality book – a joy to own!
What I like most about this book is that there is something for everyone: Scripture to inspire, a devotional to reflect upon, journaling prompts to help us apply the lessons we are learning, and, of course, beautiful illustrations to color!
The Parables of Jesus Coloring Book Devotional provides a creative way to reflect upon the Bible. It’s the perfect gift to share with a friend.

I love to color!
It’s actually the parables themselves. I’ve been thinking about them lately and wondering if I remembered them all or not. This looks like a fun way to refresh my memory.
I love the coloring! 🙂

I like the idea that the accompanying illustrations can be done or even torn out. Many coloring books disappoint.
