Friend Of The Week – Linda at It All Started With Paint

Linda - Living Room

Do you remember your first home? Chances are, you skimped and saved to buy the biggest starter home that you could afford, then watched it shrink in size as your family expanded and grew! That’s how Linda’s home renovating journey started. This Jersey born mom of four bought her first home in an up and coming Chicago neighborhood in 1995, then ended up staying as her neighborhood became one of the most desirable places to raise a child.

Now she spends her days updating her home on a budget and sharing her decorating ideas and creative projects on her blog, It All Started With Paint!

Creating A Cozy Home

This week we dropped by Linda’s blog to see what she’s up to during this season of change and new normal. One things she’s been busy with is learning how to shelter in place, blog and maintain a cozy home environment. If you’re struggling with this too, you’ll appreciate her tips for Staying At Home While Getting Cozy.

Thumbprint Easter Eggs

Linda’s also been getting into the Easter spirit and has some easy yet adorable projects to share if you have saved your preparations to the last minute this year!

If you have a few flower pots lying around and a little paint, check out Linda’s charming Thumbprint Easter Eggs. It’s one of my favorite Easter craft projects I’ve come across this year!

Paper Bag Bunny

Another cute project that requires minimal supplies are Linda’s adorable Paper Bag Bunnies. Fill these bags with treats and delight your children with sweet surprises – or just use them as inexpensive décor around your home!

Easter Egg Decorating With A Paint Pen

Finally, want a quick way to decorate your eggs without the dye? Use a white paint pen to quickly dress up your farm-fresh organic eggs in Linda’s Easter Egg Decorating With Paint Pen Tutorial!

Linda

Making new friends is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Be sure to visit Linda this week, explore the creative ideas she’s shared on her blog, and congratulate her for being our Friend Of The Week at Friendship Friday at Create With Joy?

  7. I always enjoy Linda’s posts – but I missed the paper bag bunny. That is SO cute – and do-able too! (I’m not very crafty but I love making things.) Thank you for hosting the party, Ramona. I’m at 41, 42 and 43 this week. Wishing you a blessed Easter!

  8. Jeanna says:

The white paint pen with brown eggs is brilliant. I’ve been looking for a way to do Easter eggs even though there will only be two of us this year. I also heard that nail polish will work so I can’t wait to put all these ideas to the test. I’m grateful I finally got eggs.

  9. Thanks for hosting the party. Enjoy your weekend and have a blessed Easter.

  10. So many cute things this week.

  11. I love Linda’s thumbprint eggs in the little pots. Thanks for hosting and Easter blessings, Ramona.

  12. Thanks for always hosting.
