Friend Of The Week – Kristie at Love My Little Cottage

Kristie - Face Mask For Dummies

How are you doing, dear friends? Are you starting to feel a touch of the corona blues? Thankfully, it’s Friendship Friday – that time of the week that we have the opportunity to reach out, make new friends and touch someone, all while doing our civic duty of keeping everyone safe!

This week we are traveling to the South Carolina Lowcountry to visit Kristie, the blogger behind Love My Little Cottage. Kristie’s blog is her creative outlet for sharing the things she loves to do most, which includes painting, home décor projects and creative writing!

Kristie - Wisteria Pot

As always, there is never a lack of fun things to do and learn at Kristie’s place! First, for those of you who are looking for ways to beautify your home for the spring, Kristie’s prepared a great tutorial on how to Paint A Wisteria Flower Pot. Pick up several pots as these pretty projects would make great gifts for the Mother’s Day gals on your gift-giving list as well!

If you’re concerned with more practical things like keeping your friends and family safe while putting your sewing skills to work, Kristie’s got another great tutorial for you called Face Masks For Dummies. After our ordeal of tracking down homemade masks that both fit and matched our family’s personal sense of style, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this tutorial (and how much I wish I had taken sewing in high school when I had the opportunity!)

Kristie - Easter Bunny Egg Salad

Finally, if you have dozens of beautifully decorated hard-boiled eggs sitting at home right now because the kids won’t actually eat them, you’ll appreciate Kirstie’s Egg Salad Bunny Sandwiches recipe. What a great way to breathe new life into leftovers!

Making new friends is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Be sure to visit Kristie this week, explore the creative ideas she’s shared on her blog, and congratulate her for being our Friend Of The Week at Friendship Friday at Create With Joy?

Who would have thought that the perfect face mask would have been the new must-have fashion accessory of 2020?
I know I want to stay safe while still expressing my unique sense of style, lol! 🙂

  6. Thanks for hosting the party – may the next week bring you relaxation and good health!

  7. It’s lovely to meet Kristie. Her face mask looks really cool, as do her crafts! I’m at number 70 and 71 this week. My Chocolate Pear Pudding Cake is a delicious, easy dessert that is very adaptable to these challenging times! I hope you are well, my friend. Take care and stay safe. Thank you for hosting. Have a blessed weekend!

  8. Jeanna says:

I love that mask, they have been so hard to come by and I have about four on order hoping one of them will come before June. Am using my old bandana collection, but that doesn’t work too well.

Aren’t those masks adorable? I tried bandanas and they didn’t work for me either! I ended up purchasing one on Etsy (found a very pretty pattern) and my husband had a local tailor make his. TIP: I recommend the ones that tie on as opposed to the ones with the elastic loops that go behind your ears – mine shot across the room as the stretch was too tight and I ended up having to have it replaced with the ties! 🙂

  9. Ramona, thanks for hosting. Praying your family is well and drawing closer to God.

  10. Joanne says:
