Linda – Strawberry Birthday Card
Did you know I celebrated my birthday this week?
I’m another decade older (be kind with the candles!)
So naturally, Linda’s delightful Strawberry Birthday Card
Caught my eye!
What I love most about Linda’s card
(Besides the bright bursts of beautiful colors)
Is how she creatively used scraps to design her background.
Intrigued?
Be sure to stop by Linda’s to read all about it!
What’s a birthday without cake and ice cream?
Actually, for the first time ever, I opted out of both this year!
I haven’t shared this tidbit before now because
I didn’t want to jinx my journey,
But I decided to make health my #1 priority this year.
To date, I have lost 44 pounds!
But – if I were picking a cake to celebrate my day –
Hands down, this simple yet elegant cake from April
Would have been my pick for the day!
It’s light – it’s easy to make –
It can be served frosting free –
And it comes with a backstory too!
Maya – How To Wind Mini Yarn Balls
If you often have small quantities of left-over yarn
When you complete your crocheting projects,
Maya has the perfect tutorial for you –
She shows you how to wind the scraps into
Mini Yarn Balls which not only add beautiful
Burst of color when stored in an open basket,
But they also make the perfect toys for your
Cats to bat around (be forewarned!)
Terri – A Beautiful Teacher Gift
Want to show your child’s teacher
How much you appreciate them?
Why not make a pretty and practical gift
They can enjoy day in and day out!
Terri shows us how to craft a combo card and
Post-it note holder on this week’s tutorial –
Make several while you’re at it and spread the love!
Lou Lou Girls – Home Made Pork Ramen
Why buy pre-made pork ramen
When you can easily make your own?
Once you try the Lou Lou Girls recipe,
You’ll be hooked on homemade for life!
Ann – The Not Yet Fall Pumpkin
Summer is starting to slowly fade away…
Fall is on the horizon…
Pumpkin season is almost here –
But what do you do if you’re not quite ready
For autumn’s arrival?
Thanks to Ann, we now have the perfect solution –
The Not Yet Fall Pumpkin!
This beauty reminds us of the glory of summer while
Hinting of the arrival of new and exciting adventures!
Music To Inspire You
Welcome To Music Moves Me!
Did you know that August 20th is National Radio Day?
Patrick from Adventures In Weseland invites us to share
Our favorite songs we remember from the radio at Music Moves Me!
Of course, this classic tune from disco diva
Donna Summer immediately came to my mind…
Sing along – have fun with it – and have a fabulous week!

I like the idea of Inspiration Monday.

I love non-traditional pumpkins Ann. Yours was lovely!
Congrats on your weight loss. I’ve been a member of Weight Watchers since 2012 so I know how hard it is to lose the weight, and even harder to keep it off. So it’s time to celebrate you! I’ve pinned the chocolate cake recipe and have to figure out some ways to make it a little less caloric that won’t ruin the cake, so I can eat more than a sliver. Also, I love Donna Summer.
