So I turned to the #1 Billboard 1976 hit song by John Sebastian
(From the 1960s group the Lovin’ Spoonful)
That he wrote for the 1970s hit comedy that
Launched the career of superstar John Travolta.

That smoothie sure looks yummy! Hey, I remember Welcome Back Kotter.
I grew up in New York City and left it in the mid 70’s and it was wonderful to see some of these now-vintage street scenes. The song is a favorite, too.

I enjoyed the scenes too! I was torn between posting the Intro/Outro or a different video with clips from the show and John singing over them – but I opted for the original because the sound quality was better (although the other video is a lot of fun!)

Wasn’t that fun? I know everyone else is delving into fall but we hit 112 yesterday so the pretty in pink theme was a nice pick-me-up!
