Inspirations And Delights

Summer Into Fall

This week, Autumn officially arrives –
Can you believe it?

Where I live, we’ve gone from a record-breaking heat wave
To cool crisp Autumn temperatures in a matter of days.
My body can’t handle the change and I am
Home sick with a bad case of the sniffles!

But the party must go on so let’s ring in the season
With some Autumn-themed features!

Which one is your fave?
Let me know in the comments!

Inspirations And Delights

To your home without spending too much time or money?

She created an Easy Fall Table Centerpiece that’s easy to replicate –
And can literally be pulled together in minutes!

Angie – Cinnamon Bread Star

On how to create this mouth-watering masterpiece!

Linda – Wooden Leaves

Wooden Leaves

Happy 10th Blogaversary to our friend Linda

Other crafty creations (like her personalized dollar store décor!)

These past 10 years – stop by and ruminate with her!

You can’t go wrong with Miz Helen’s Bacon & Tomato Quiche –
A wonderful treat, indeed!

Barbara – Daily Light On The Daily Path

Light On The Daily Path

Looking for a classic devotional to pour over this Fall?
I was totally enamored by Barbara’s review of
Daily Light On The Daily Path –
A new-to-me devotional, originally published in 1875
That consists entirely of the words of Scripture!
The version shown here was printed in 1906.
If you enjoy reading Christian classics from yesteryear,
Don’t miss Barbara’s review!

Music To Inspire You
Welcome To
Music Moves Me!

Did you know that September is Better Breakfast Month?
I didn’t until John at The Sound Of One Hand Typing
Challenged us to come up with a musical acrostic of songs
That spell out the word Breakfast!

Take the challenge.
It’s harder than you think!

Honestly, I felt like I was a game show contestant
Trying to come up with answers under the challenge of the timer
And the pressure was getting to me!
(I’ve obviously been watching too much Password this week –
But if you haven’t seen it, check it out –
Jimmy Fallon is a Password, clue-giving genius!)

Anyway, here is the list that I ultimately came up with
(I threw in the first breakfast-themed song and album
For bonus points!)

B – Breakfast In America – Supertramp (song and album)
R – Rain On The Scarecrow – John Mellencamp
E – Everyday People – Sly & The Family Stone
A – A Day In The Life – Beatles
K – Knocking On Heaven’s Door – Bob Dylan
F – Flashdance – What A Feeling – Irene Cara
A – A Fifth Of Beethoven – Walter Murphy
S – Somewhere Over The Rainbow – Judy Garland
T – The Power Of Love – Huey Lewis & The News

And the song I chose to feature from the list
Is an updated version of the original
Produced by Playing For Change and Turnaround Arts.
Can you guess which song I chose?

Everyday People – Playing For Change & Turnaround Arts

  2. I’m so sorry you aren’t feeling well, Ramona! Lots of temperature changes really can take it out of you. I hope you feel much better very soon.
Tomorrow we lay our wonderful late Queen to rest, and I’ve shared a post in tribute to her – Things I Learned from The Queen. She continues to inspire me even now she has gone home to the Lord.
Thank you for hosting. I hope you have a wonderful, sniffle free week!

  3. Alana says:

So nice listening to that cover of Everyday People. If only more people practiced its message Incidentally, my contribution posts tomorrow and I picked the same first song. I’m wondering how many others will mention the Breakfast in America song. I like your acrostic; I didn’t pick Knocking on Heaven’s Door but I love that song.

  4. Thank you for hosting! I’m sharing links #13 and #14.
