How To Make Easter Special For Your Kids

When my sister and I were growing up, we always looked forward to Easter.

We got dressed up on our prettiest outfits… went to church to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord – and then, came home to the beautiful Easter baskets that always awaited us!

Before I opened my basket, I always tried to peek through the pastel cellophane wrap to see what was inside.

Usually I found a big hollow chocolate bunny… a few marshmallow chicken and jelly beans – and them my favorite part – the gifts!

Sometimes there would be a toy. Sometimes there would be an Easter-themed coloring book and a fresh new set of crayons.

But my favorite gift was always the books!

As a child, I treasured nothing more than a beautifully illustrated book that helped me draw near to God.

And now? As parents, grandparents, aunts and teachers, we have the same opportunity to create these types of long-lasting memories as well!
