Welcome to Where Bloggers Create 2011 – an annual event where bloggers share their creative spaces! Legend, my Crafty Coon, and I are delighted to show you The Paper Palace, the place where the artistry begins!
When you enter The Paper Palace, the first thing you notice is the desk that I blog and paper craft from. Beneath the front of my desk, I’ve stashed two paper holders to hold stationery and pretty printer paper. Behind my desk are the storage cabinets that Prince Charming designed for me.
One of my challenges as a crafter is displaying things in an organized fashion. I like having tools that I frequently use nearby so that I can find them when needed. One of my favorite spots in The Paper Palace is my Ink Pad Storage Cabinets, which I recycled out of old cassette and CD holders. I find looking at the colors very inspiring and soothing!
My desk drawers house a few crafty surprises, such as my Just Rite Stamps and Stickles!
Of course, my desktop is rarely as clear as today’s photo would indicate. Most days, it is overflowing with projects and distractions. How productive would you be if this sight greeted you on a daily basis?
Moving along, here’s a close-up of the cabinets that Prince Charming built.
When I first moved into The Paper Palace, the cubbyholes were overflowing with weeds, but now a beautiful flower garden has been planted in its place.
Hidden behind the cabinet doors is my paper collection!
Now, to the left of my desk lies a wall of shelves that Prince Charming built inside what was once a closet! As you can tell from the photo, I am quite fond of collecting pretty boxes that I then use to store more stash! Along this wall you’ll find stamps and embellishments… fabrics and fibers… ribbons and paints… and plenty of goodies to alter!
Across from my desk are a few more bookshelves where I store pretty baskets and boxes filled with more of my stash – a few furry friends – and some of my art!
Thank you so much for joining me for the Where Blogger’s Create 2011 blog party, and thanks to our fabulous hosts – Where Women Create Magazine and the fabulous Karen Valentine from My Desert Cottage! Please leave a comment so I’ll know you stopped by, and enjoy the rest of the tour!

Wow – Fabulously creative and so wonderfully organized too! I wish I could be more organised – I’m a scatty mess and live as such, much to the annoyance of my long suffering hubs. ;D Shah from http://wordsinsync.blogspot.com/2011/07/all-new-weekend-creation-blog-hop-plus.html

Such a lovely and well organised creative space! Thanks for the tour.
Oh my gosh, what a perfect studio! I am SO jealous — I get the corner of my boys’ playroom!
Here from FTLOB to say god, that’s a gorgeous crafting space! Right now I’m sewing at a half-cluttered dining room table with cardboard boxes at my feet, haha. Definitely putting yours into my “dream room” category.
I love your space. White is the perfect color and I’m definitely coming back to use your organization tips. We’re in the middle of moving and all my stuff is packed! I hate change.
Wow. I’m envious. An uncluttered and neat workstation. Cabinets and shelves to store. 🙂
Stopped by from the blog hop.

You definitely have it going on with your space!! I can only imagine being that organized, but would love to be some day.
My crafts aren’t paper crafts, but instead yarn and material. I have a plan in my head for my room. I have now picked out what I want in there so have a goal to earn to make my dream a reality. Maybe by then my daughter and her children will have found a place of their own to live. Right now my craft room has been made into a bedroom for my 3 granddaughters.
Your space is jaw dropping, how wonderful would it be to spend an afternoon in there playing with you?
Okay you had me at the pic of the Craft Coon. Both of your cats are gorgeous! I think I remember visiting with you last year..I still love your space! I think it is the table that I remember the most..if not I’m having a serious deja vu moment. (smile) Hope you are having fun with this party!
TFS!!!
