I don’t really have a bucket list either, but I have always wanted to buy or rent an RV and drive out west to see the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, ghost towns, etc… With the price of gas theses days I wonder if that will ever happen!! LOL!!

Wow, Sylvia, that would be so much fun – isn’t it crazy though that the price of gas really does make something like that sound like a pipe dream! 🙂
Hope you make that come true one of these days! 🙂

  2. Good Morning!
No I don’t have a bucket list and I don’t plan to start one. However…I do seize every opportunity to live each day to the full and because of that I’ve had many amazing experiences and blessings. 😀
I hope it’s okay I link up….I’m a little confused…if leaving a comment to answer your question is sufficient….or do I need to write a bucket article? Hmmm.
    Hope your weekend is Extraordinary!!!

Hi Ramona, thank you for featuring me here! I think you helped me to clarify some thoughts swimming around my head and get them posted! ANyway about the Bucket List. I have always kept a running list of goals I want to do, achieve …it seems now everyone would rather say Bucket List instead of Goals list. But I can see how the Bucket List could be more random. I think it is great to always explore what one might want to dabble in…I would have never thought I would be a blogger but I always knew I wanted to “write” for publication and that was a goal. I remember the first time I did a list when I was 19 and it was for a Creative Writing class. I know I have it somewhere. SO much of who I am is on the list…
I think we can reveal our desires dreams as well as explore aspects of ourselves yet to be discovered by creating a Bucket List…or a goal , dream, – whatever you want to call it, LIST!

      Hi Dawn,

I love your comments here – it makes me think of “what’s in a word”! Dreams List, Goals List, Wish List, Bucket List… they all have a slightly different connotation, don’t they – at least to me!

When I think of Goals, I think of very formal things – the “serious” things I want to accomplish – the big, adult stuff if you will. If I set a goal for myself, I usually have to set a plan to accomplish that goal – and I am very hard on myself if I fall short of it!

When I think of Dreams, I think the world is the limit – it’s sort of my brainstorming list – I don’t have to think “practically” – I can “right brain” it and list my heart’s desires, without letting my left brain inner critic shut me down.

When I think of my “Bucket List”, I think it’s somewhat a combo of the two. It contains both important things I want to do and more fun, “frivolous” types of things – things I want to do for the sheer enjoyment of them, whether or not they are practical.

I don’t know if most people would make those distinctions – I don’t even think I realized I did until I read your comments. That’s why I love reading everyone’s thoughts on these topics. You really DO clarify your own thoughts and expand your horizons just by reflecting on everyone else’s stuff!

Have a wonderful day (and do you know this is your 67th comment? WOYW!!! Love it!)

Thanks for hosting again this week! 🙂 There are so many things I would love to see and do, so I guess I should start a “bucket list.” 😉 Just here in the US, I would love to see the Grand Canyon, Pearl Harbor and Old Faithful, among so many others, before I die. 😉 Hope you have a great weekend! Many blessings, Lisa

I’ve always wanted to see the Grand Canyon too, Lisa! Perhaps we should not only keep a list of the things we want to do, but the things we have seen as well! 🙂

Hope your weekend is fabulous and you have a chance to do something awesome with your family!

Hi again – thanks for the book reviews. I’m definitely going to include them, perhaps one at a time, in upcoming issue of the Ruby magazine. I so appreciate your generosity! I posted a couple of Thanksgiving craft project ideas linked back to the original blogs where I found them, so I hope you will take a peek at what I found. There are some amazing creative bloggers out here ;o)

As far as a bucket list . . . . I guess I have been too busy to think about that before now, but perhaps I should get busy and make some plans! Thanks for the encouragement – have a great weekend and we’ll talk again next week! Hugs, Nina

I don’t have a bucket list, but if I did I would love to travel to other countries. Take a painting class in Italy. Re-learn & get better at spinning clay. Learn how to speak Italian. Swim in tropical waters. & there would be a long list. I love the idea of sponsoring a child…..
Ah, if we could all get it done in one lifetime 😉 Have a great weekend. Visiting from DearCreatives.com

Theresa, you have some FABULOUS ideas! Taking a painting class in Italy sounds like a dream! I think that we should start an “Inspiration List” and everyone stopping by this week should contribute their ideas…

By the way, swimming in tropical waters is FABULOUS until you get bitten on the toe by a tropical fish!
(True story… just a nibble… but an unseen nibble is akin to JAWS…)

      Have an inspiring week!

Thanks for hosting Joy! Love your blog, as always. I’m hoping to get some great Bucket List ideas – but mine typically have to do with “self help” and making ME the best person I can be (person, wife and mother). Oh and friend!

I have a mental bucket list, but never put it down anywhere. I want to learn how to read music, create pottery, do stain glass, hike the Oregon Trail. Those are the things I really want to do because my personal motto is ‘Never stop Learning,” I want to learn a lot about a lot of different things.

  10. Michelle says:

I don’t have a bucket list as such, but I am living my dream which is to travel around my country with my husband, see my kids as often as possible and to serve God in a volunteer capacity on our trips. I have a blog that is documenting this trip and the life God has given me. Recent articles aside from places visted include being thankful for being a Breast Cancer survivor, volunteering & how to communicate with deaf & hard of hearing. (I am deaf).

      Hi Dolly,

Bucket list is just a catch phrase for what are some of the things you want to do in your life?
I wish you much success in achieving the things you dream of – if you can dream it, you can do it! 🙂

Thankyou so much for highlighting my post again 🙂 I love your thoughts and challenges. They do truly inspire me and get my creative thoughts flowing rapidly. Hmmm I will join in on Inspire me Monday .. one day soon lol.
I have linked up my post for this week… and had to link to a second post that I had wanted to add just the other day. So I sort of have two posts. No I dont have a bucket list as such. But it made me think of how I have already filled my bucket throughout my life. And that in itself is pretty awe inspiring to go back and reflect 🙂
Thank you for hosting such a wonderful theme 🙂

  13. I am been blessed to have already done most of the tings on my bucket list — still left is flying through the air in Cirque de Soleil style aerial silk dancing! Thanks for the great features & hosting, & God bless!

    • Create With Joy
      Twitter: CreateWithJoy1
      says:

What a cool goal, Laurie! I’ve never heard of silk dancing but it sounds like something I must look up!

When I was growing up, we had a swing set in our back yard and one of the items on the set was a trapeeze. I LOVED that trapeeze and used to do tricks and turns on that thing until I outgrew it!

Every now and then I catch a show that features places where you can go to learn how to fly through the air on the trapeeze like they do in the circus. I always think how cool THAT would be! Don’t know if that’s similar… but maybe one day I’ll wear purple and fly through the air with the greatest of ease, lol!

      HAve an awesome weekend!

  14. Thanks for the yummy features & for hosting, & God bless!

I don’t have a bucket list but I really love to do some traveling outside of the US. Cute post!

  16. Classic NYer says:

I think I’m a little too young for a bucket list. I have more like a “sometime in the very near future” list. And they’re things I’m literally working on… does that count?

    • Create With Joy
      Twitter: CreateWithJoy1
      says:

For me, a bucket list consists of things you want to do by a certain point in your life – so I don’t think you’re ever too young to create one!
If you’re working on your bucket list right now, good for you! I don’t think it’s a static thing either. I think that once you complete one thing, you add another so that you’re constantly growing and evolving!

Have a great weekend and would love to hear what you’re working on! 🙂
