2013 Winter Biannual Blogathon Wrap Up

January 2013 - Winter Biannual Blogathon

This weekend I completed my second Biannual Blogathon Bash. If you have never participated in a Blogathon before, I highly encourage you to consider joining the next one. Not only will you have the opportunity to accomplish some of the items on your To Do list, but you’ll also have the opportunity to participate in Twitter Parties and Mini-Challenges, meet fabulous bloggers, and even win a prize!

For this Blogathon, I decided to participate in as many event-related activities as possible, plus tackle a few essentials on my overflowing To Do list!

Twitter Parties

One of the highlights of the event was the chance to meet many of the Blogathon participants – and a number of Create With Joy readers – at the 6 Twitter Parties that were held throughout the weekend!

If you have never attended a Twitter Party before, an event like this is the perfect place to start! Each party was an hour, and Kathleen, the organizer, asked us several discussion questions that prompted lively discussions. At the end of each party, she drew prizes for an E-Book from Hearts and Laserbeams entitled Easy SEO For Bloggers. I was one of the lucky winners at Twitter Party 2!

Mini-Challenges

Several generous bloggers contributed their time and knowledge by creating 15 Mini-Challenges for this year’s Blogathon. All of them are fabulous and I encourage you to check them out! I completed eleven challenges:

To Do Items

In addition, I completed several items on my To Do list:

  • Updated WordPress and Eight Plug-Ins
  • Tweaked My Blog Design to Increase Speed
  • Wrote Three Articles
  • Worked On Overall Blog Maintenance

As you can see, the Biannual Blogathon Bash provides a fabulous opportunity to start, maintain, or grow your blog! And – unlike expensive conferences – you can work at your own pace, for free, from the privacy and convenience of your own home!

I highly recommend this event, and I hope to see you at the next one!

2013 Summer Biannual Blogathon

The next Biannual Blogathon bash will be held the weekend of June 21-24, 2013. Be there or be square!
