Wordless Wednesday At Create With Joy
When Tsunami was a young kitten,
One of his favorite pastimes was
Stalking imaginary prey in our kitchen!
I often wondered what ran through his mind
During these special playtimes.
Perhaps he envisioned a world such as this?
Imagine you are a wild lion –
The King Of The Jungle –
The Lion King Himself –
Living in the heart of the Serengeti.
You are sunning in a grassy woodland
When you spot him:
A lone gazelle,
Drinking at a nearby watering hole
Unaware that danger is lurking nearby –
Unaware of his role in the Circle Of Life.
Quietly, stealthily, you slink to the ground,
Belly flattened,
Nose to the wind,
Whiskers quivering in excitement,
As you crawl,
Inch by inch,
Paw by paw,
On flattened belly,
Through the cover of grass,
Towards your unwitting victim.
Pray, prey, pray!
A storm is on the loose.
A Tsunami is on the horizon!
James Mason aptly observed that:
Cats do not have to be shown how to have a good time,
For they are unfailing ingenious in that respect.
There are few things more pleasurable in life
Than watching a kitten at play!

Thanks Moni – you too!
I have often wondered what pets are thinking when they are at play. Too bad they can’t tell us what’s on their mind.
You’d be surprised how much they DO communicate if you pay close attention to them! 🙂
Too cute thanks for sharing. I wish I had a kitten.
Me too – miss their antics!
Tsunami is one of the most beautiful cats I have ever seen. I lost my cat on Monday after 24 years of enjoying his love. Hug your cat today for me.

Oh Isadora, I am SO sorry for your loss! 24 years – wow! I will hug BOTH of my kitties for you today!
Cute. Happy WW!
We love it when our kitties show their inner “wild side” and Tsunmi is a pro at that!!
Thank you so much!!
Love your hop!
Aaalmost there… water, water… almost… (picturing a crawl through the desert…)
WOOF WOOF!
Thank you so much for hosting this! I really enjoy visiting most if not all of the submissions!
so true about kitties! Tsunami is a cutie! yes, truly, what IS he thinking?! But one thing is certain! He’s having fun!
The perfect pic to capture ‘stealth’!
How joyful! Such a pretty kitten! Have fun little one. Purrs from My Feral Family.
KITTY KITTY RAWR!
I’ll have to try and find you again soon. When I have a bit more time. But love the kitty story. My Spirit Kitty decided he needed to play fetch way too early for my liking this morning. He NEVER brings his ball of yarn to bed, but that’s how he woke me up this morning. Later, he brought it down to the office. Apparently he was just in a ‘fetch’ kind of mood. Do you think he knows he is NOT a dog? Kelly
Spirit Kitty sounds ADORABLE – Legend is a dog kitty too – please DO stop back and share your photos! 🙂
So adorable! He does look very focused…
How beautiful…Tsunami and the words expressed. It is certainly true that there are few things more pleasurable in life than watching a kitten at play! My Lucy still likes to pounce and jump in the air when she finds a leaf in the house. A good enough reason to not keep the floors spotless, I say!
Thanks so much – happy day to you and Lucy!
Cats are so cool!!!!
What a sweet photo, he is totally adorable!
LOL The Mancat did the very same as your Tsunami! Cats are very entertaining. 🙂

Thank you for sharing at Tell Me a Story Blog party” about your cat Tsunami. Animals can teach us a lot, and they are fun to watch. Congratulations on the popularity of your blog hop site
Uh, so I am a little late in linking up this week, but I guess I made it!!! Hope to spend some of spring break snooping through y’alls blogs 🙂
I think all cats fancy themselves as wild cats in the jungle. They really are a lot of fun to watch, aren’t they? 🙂
