Each week, I’ll provide a Theme and Questions to ignite your creativity. You are cordially invited to share your thoughts in a themed Friendship Friday post or to answer the questions in the comments!

Whichever option you choose, please add the Friendship Friday button to your post/blog and share this event on your social media sites so that others can join the fun!

This Week’s Theme Is Children’s Books

This week we’re celebrating Children’s Book Week at Create With Joy, so what better time is there to discuss our favorite books from our childhood and teen years?

  • What are your favorite books from your childhood?
  • Who is your  favorite children’s author?

Share your favorite Children’s Books with us this week at Friendship Friday!

    I loved reading books to my kids where I could do voices of different characters. I read “The Animals of Farmer Jones” and “The Cat in the Hat” innumerable times. I also loved it when they got older and I could read long books to them. We worked our way through the Chronicles of Narnia, Anne of Green Gables series, The Hunt for Red October (!), God’s Smuggler, The Hiding Place (read to each of the 4 individually), The Little House series. Can you tell I love to read!?

    I need to review more kid’s books on my blog as many as we read between my 3 kids. I do have one review up for my favorite kid’s book, Are You Grumpy, Santa so linked it up. Thanks for hosting and love this week’s theme!

    I linked my blog up above, but my favorite children’s author was Shel Silverstein {Where the Sidewalk Ends, The Giving Tree, etc.} I just love his stories. I also love Dr. Seuss {who doesn’t?}

    Thanks so most for hosting – I read chapter books to my kids every night. We are currently on the Narnia series, having just finished up the Little House on the Prairie series. Even though my daughter is an excellent reader, she still loves to be read to at night!

    Hi there!
    I don’t remember any books from my childhood unfortunately. My son loves to read though and we have everything from Dr. Seuss to simple books just involving spelling & objects. He loves rhyming stuff the most.

    Thanks for hosting, as always 😀 I’ve been busy writing and it was my birthday on the 15th! We moved so I’ve been really busy! Hoping it all settles down soon!
