This Week’s Theme – Summer Fun
Welcome to the lazy, hazy days of August! As the temperatures soar and our bodies sear, I could not help but wonder:
- Do you prefer to be indoors or outdoors on a hot summer day?
- Poolside or park picnic – which invitation sounds more appealing?
- What summertime activity do you dream of the most?
August is our last “official” month of summer – let’s make the most of it!
Have a fabulous Friendship Friday!
Have Fun!

I’m actually recovering from a case of the summer sniffles that I picked up at the park!
Hubby believes I spent too much time petting the dogs and got people germs on me!
I hope you are doing well.
I need to line up some guest bloggers and schedule some down time myself! 🙂

If it’s not humid, outdoors…forget the pool, on a park bench…dreaming of kayaking with my eagles soaring above!…:)JP

That sounds glorious! I used to love white water rafting – an enthralling way to spend the day!
With the hot summer days, I will take a pool any day…especially since we have always had one and we don’t anymore. 🙁 Anything outside is great. Thank you for hosting.

I used to love lounging by the water but I am now super sun and heat sensitive so while I love the outdoors – I have to hang in the shade and only be out on a fairly mild day!
So far, our overall weather has been nice with just a few scorchers. I am praying the remainder of the summer is mild as well!

You too Judy! Thanks for being such a faithful participant! 🙂
Sorry about the sniffles. It may be pollen in the air. That gives me the sniffles. It is fine to pet the doge – – 🙂
Thanks for hosting your lovely site.

Thanks Hazel – finally starting to feel a little better though still dealing with fatigue!
Hopefully I can kick this thing completely by the weekend!
Enjoy your Friendship Friday! 🙂
Hot and humid here in Florida — enjoying the thunderstorms (when we’re safely indoors) and the great effects of the rain on our flowers. Thanks for hosting & God bless!

Have a fabulous weekend (hopefully the thunderstorms won’t interfere with your plans!)
I am hoping for warmer weather in the month of August. We’ve had enough rain and cool nights!

I always enjoy being outside as much as possible during the warmer months. I like both swimming and park picnics, so this one is a tough choice. Swimming and boating are some of my favorite summertime activities!
Thank you for the linky party! 🙂

Do you prefer to be indoors or outdoors on a hot summer day?
Both, but because of the heat, we stay indoors mostly now.
Poolside or park picnic – which invitation sounds more appealing?
Park Picnic – I can relax and read my book or chase the kids etc.
What summertime activity do you dream of the most?
Sleeping late 🙂

I also prefer to be in a cool environment on a hot day!
I’m blessed to live near a park where I can enjoy the outdoors.
Hope you have the chance to sleep in all weekend, Colette! 🙂

Happy (almost) Friday, my friend! Hope you have a fantastic weekend! I’m looking forward to enjoying the last official month of summer. Living in the hot & humid South – I definitely prefer the indoors during the summer days. Once the sun goes down, I do enjoy some quiet time on my patio with a good book and a tall glass of tea.

Love your answer, Michelle – I also prefer to be in a cool environment on a hot summer day – but love those cool summer nights!
Quiet time on the patio with a good book and a tall glass of iced tea sounds perfect!
Have a fabulous weekend, dear friend!

Do you prefer to be indoors or outdoors on a hot summer day?
-Indoors (which kind of rots for my garden).
Poolside or park picnic – which invitation sounds more appealing?
-Anyplace with shade. The water park where we lived last had these lovely HUGE umbrellas…and if you didn’t get there first thing, you could forGET it! *lol*
What summertime activity do you dream of the most?
-Sitting in the armchair in the living room that is very, very close to the a/c.
The older I get, the less tolerant my body seems to be of hot, humid conditions (in which we live).
Thank you for hosting! Here via Fun Friday!

I love the heat, so it doesn’t bother me. Plus I enjoy being outdoors so much more.
During the hot and humid days, I definitely enjoy the cool indoors, but there is nothing like a nice summer night on the front porch or patio. I enjoy both being poolside and having a nice picnic. My dream? To someday be able to afford an RV and take some memorable trips with the family. 🙂
Hi there and thank you!!
I just realized that I never grabbed the HTML for your Fri hop…promise to do so later and post on ym sidebar…
Hope all is well, friend!
Take care and thank you again.
