Tattered And Mended – The Art Of Healing The Wounded Soul

Tattered And Mended

Tattered And Mended by Cynthia Ruchti – Book Review

I am a Cynthia Ruchti fan. I’ve previously had the pleasure of reviewing three of Cynthia’s previous books. The thing that I like about most about Cynthia is that she writes about real people, dealing with the painful circumstances of their lives, but she doesn’t try to white-wash things, sugar coat things, psycho-analyze things, or sweep things under the rug.

Instead, Cynthia brings the “why me” life circumstances that shred our souls into the place where our stories intersect with God’s story and offers us what we need the most – hope.

In Tattered And Mended – The Art Of Healing The Wounded Soul, Cynthia Ruchti continues this tradition in what is her strongest work to date.

Tattered And Mended is an exquisitely written book that invites us – through story-telling, artistic metaphors, biblical guidance, and reference to ancient and modern healing techniques – to bring our tattered and threadbare souls to God for true restoration, soul repair and healing.

Stylistically, her writing reminds me very much of Max Lucado’s, so if you are a fan of his, you will most likely enjoy this book.

Tattered And Mended is a very special book that gently encourages you to invite God into the places of your life where you most need mending.

I felt refreshed after reading this book because the focus wasn’t on us and our problems – the focus was on God and His glory.

I highly recommend this book to you and rate it 5 out of 5 stars.
