      Thank you so much Arnoldo! Not only did I find a bag of pretty swirly chipboard to play with, but I learned how beautifully pigment ink can cover that bare chipboard (I always painted it previously – this is much quicker without painted kitty paws to worry about!)

      Have an amazing week and I look forward to seeing your creations and reading your inspirational post this week!

  12. Photo A Day: Week Seven || September 14-20 says:

    […] What I am grateful for this week: Time with family, time with friends. Omar and I made our vacation plans for November: a trip to the Smokey Mountains and Washington DC! We’ll be traveling with some of our favorite people in the world, and I am so happy to have that to look forward to! Goals for next week: This is new! I was inspired by a new group I joined to add this part to my beginning of the posts, and honestly, I don’t know why I never thought of it before! I think it’s going to be good, keep me inspired and such. Anyway, this week I want to accomplish a few key things: complete 2.5 more modules of my own classes, set up my new workspace next to Omar’s gaming area, get the planning of the rest of the year’s field trips out of the way, and nail down my special blog features for October. I’ve got this!!! Linking up with Ember Grey, Our World, and Create With Joy! […]

  13. Photo A Day: Week Eleven || October 12 – 18 says:

    […] Grateful thoughts from last week: Despite having the most in classroom behavioral problems so far this year, I was oddly relaxed all week! Maybe it was all that prayin’ I had to do. (Dear Lord, let this child go home safe, sound, and SOON!) I crossed a lot of things off my to-do list too… prepped a bit for SpringsFest, got some shoots in, and planned even more. Some of the nerves are turning into optimism! Goals for this week: Keep the relaxation train going! I’ll be bringing a ton of work home a couple of days, but if I play my cards right, Wednesday is a half day and I may not have to stay much longer than the kids. Pleasepleasepleaseplease let that dream come true! I also have some photo printing issues to sort out, but I think I am on the right track and hope to get started doing the actual printing soon. And, oh yeah. Last week of the quarter, so report cards! Linking up with Ember Grey, Our World, and Create With Joy! […]

  14. Photo A Day: Week Twelve || October 19 – 25 says:

    […] Grateful thoughts from last week: A job well done, and good times with friends. What more could I ask for? I also tried out a new photography technique and was moderately successful – I am super excited to share those shots! Goals for this week: Continue working on new photo technique, and start hitting thrift stores for frames. Also, it’s a short week! I want to take full advantage of this 4 day weekend – although it needs to be pretty easy going, since Omar is still pretty sore. Linking up with Ember Grey, Our World, and Create With Joy! […]

  15. Photo A Day: Week Thirteen || October 26 – November 1 says:

    […] Grateful thoughts from last week: Uh, duh. I only had to go to work 3x, and got to adventure 4x. Also, nothing makes me appreciate my bed more than being able to stay in it while my husband gets ready for work. It’s just so evilly satisfying. I’ll pay for that in a few weeks though, because Omar has a Monday off and it’s my turn to go to a teaching convention while he snoozes! Goals for this week: Avoid the germs, avoid the germs, avoid the germs. Kids are dropping fast, my mom was sick over the weekend, and… I’ve had body aches since Sunday night so I’m afraid I am next. But then again, if I am going to get sick, I’d rather it be now because we are heading up to the Rocky Mountains in less than 3 weeks. The last time I went I got sick and stayed in the cabin most of the time… don’t want a repeat of that! Linking up with Ember Grey, Our World, and Create With Joy! […]

  16. Photo A Day: Week Seventeen || Thanksgiving Vacation Edition! says:

    […] Grateful thoughts from last week: So many! Family and friends and quality time with them, and the opportunity to visit so many wild places. Goals for this week: Progress Reports! But that’s a boring goal. Here’s a blog related one, albeit a bit more long term than just this week: I want to start doing little reviews of the campgrounds I stay at whilst I am adventuring. I wanted to do one this past trip, but we didn’t stay at an actual campground, haha! I also have some more vague ideas about a travel portion of this website, but they definitely need some more developing. I am thinking about doing one of those blog e-courses or something – wouldn’t hurt to support another blogger, right? So if anyone knows any really good blog courses that focus on developing a blog and maybe even offering services etc., leave a suggestion in the comments! I’d sure appreciate it!
