The 30-Day Faith Detox by Laura Harris Smith
When you hear the word detoxification, what is the first thing that comes to mind?
Chances are, you think of a strict dietary regimen designed to rid our bodies of toxins that accumulate within us and diminish our physical health.
But, it’s equally important to cleanse ourselves of emotional residue like doubt, disappointment, and discouragement that negatively impacts our faith and weakens us spiritually!
In The 30-Day Faith Detox – Renew Your Mind, Cleanse Your Body, Heal Your Spirit, Laura Harris Smith provides Christians with a unique program that’s designed to do just that!
The 30-Day Faith Detox is divided into five categories:
- Social Influence Toxins
- Financial Toxins
- Health-Related Toxins
- Relationship Toxins
- Purpose and Identity Toxins
Within these categories, you will receive six days of devotionals and focused activities to read and complete – activities that address both your spiritual and physical detoxification needs.
While many readers will pick up The 30-Day Faith Detox because they are looking for a health-based book written from a Christian perspective, I found that the strength of this book lies in the purification prayers the author provides to help you ask God for deliverance from the various spiritual toxins in your life.
Overall, I think this book will appeal to a niche audience within the Christian community. My recommendation would be to preview the book if possible before purchasing to determine if it is the right book for you.
I rate this book 3 ½ out of 5 stars.

Having more faith is something I try to strive for everyday. Also gratification is important. Thanks for the review. It sounds like something I should read.
What a great idea! We do a detox to rid our bodies of unclean things, so why not do a spiritual detox? Sounds like a wonderful book. Thanks for sharing with #SocialButterflySunday! Hope to see you link up again this week 🙂
This is a fascinating topic. I am going to be thinking about this idea of spiritual detoxing. Thanks so much for linking up this post at Booknificent Thursday on Mommynificent.com this week!
