The Book Of Mysteries by Jonathan Cahn – Book Review

The Book Of Mysteries

The Book Of Mysteries – Book Review

September 6, 2016 marks the launch of a book that is like no other book I have ever read – a book with the power to transform your entire perspective on life. If you would like to explore the revelations the Bible contains in ways you’ve never heard it explained before, I highly recommend The Book Of Mysteries by Jonathan Cahn to you!

The Book Of Mysteries is written as a 365-day devotional but it is also presented as a “story within a story”. The setting for the “story” is that the traveler – the person writing the book – encounters a teacher who invites him to study with him for a year in a mysterious school in the desert. The 365 devotions in the book are the notes the traveler penned from his daily lessons with the teacher.

In each lesson, you will find revelation after revelation revealed about Scripture as Jonathan Cahn – a best-selling author, pastor and Messianic Jew – delves into the historical, cultural and etymological roots of the passages and words and provides us with life-changing “missions’ to help us apply the lessons to our lives.

Each mystery is fully indexed so you can read the book topically – but I recommend reading them in order as the mysteries build upon one another!

The Book Of Mysteries is both simple in its presentation but profound in the truths that it contains. Jonathan Cahn is a gifted teacher who has the ability to bring biblical truth and biblical prophecy to life and to speak God’s truth into your spirit!

One of the lessons that I’ve been reflecting on for the past few weeks is the mystery of The Shammah – the New Year – which holds within it the duality of repeating what has come before or change. Here is an excerpt from the Advance Reading Copy of the book:

The way of the world is to repeat – but the way of God is the way of newness and change. You can’t know God and not be changed by knowing Him. And His will is that the year, the shannah ahead, be not a time of repetition but of change, of new beginnings, new steps, of breaking out of the old. And if you want to experience a year of new things, you must choose to live not in the repetition of the natural, but in the newness of the supernatural. Choose to walk not in your will but in the will of Him who is beyond the natural and beyond all that is old. As it is written, He makes all things new. Open up your life to the newness of His will, and you will walk in the newness of life and in the shannah of change.

This is just a sampling of what awaits you inside of The Book Of Mysteries. Once you begin to read this book, you will not want to put it down!

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
