Fabulous Fiction From Revell Reads!

Revell Reads Fiction

Happy Autumn to you! Now that the kids are back in school and the evenings are getting crisper, why not curl up with a good book and your favorite beverage and allow yourself to be transported to a whole new world!

This week we are sharing three new fiction books from Revell. There’s something for everyone, so be sure to let us know which book appeals to you the most!

The Gryphon Heist by James R. Hannibal – Book Review

The Gryphon Heist

If you enjoy mysteries, thrillers and high-stake suspense novels, then you’ll want to add The Gryphon Heist by James R. Hannibal to your must-read list!

In The Gryphon Heist, you’ll become immersed in the world of Talia Inger – a rookie CIA agent who has just been assigned to Transnistria, a forgotten country in Eastern Europe. It’s not Moscow – a failed test cost her that assignment – but Talia figures that once she completes her first task (securing revolutionary defense technology designs for Avantec, a Moldavan tech company), she can move on to greener pastures.

Talia soon discovers that protecting these designs is going to be more challenging than she originally thought. Against her better judgment, she finds herself closely working with Adam Tyler – a somewhat shady asset who has actionable knowledge about the threat against Avantec. Soon, she is immersed in an action-packed, adrenaline-laced adventure that has her and her team racing against the clock to uncover a mole and steal the very thing she is sworn to protect in order to save lives.

This Mission Impossible/Ocean’s Eleven-like book has a lot going for it, including interesting characters who are flawed, broken, and struggling with issues like forgiveness, redemption and faith.

The Gryphon Heist is the first book in a new series that will feature Talia Inger. I’m looking forward to following her career and reading about her future adventures!

The Words Between Us by Erin Bartels – Book Review

The Words Between Us

I wasn’t sure what I would find when I picked up The Words Between Us by Erin Bartels, but what I discovered was a beautifully written, evocatively told story about a young woman named Robin Windsor who is trying to escape from the sins of her monstrous father and the pain of her past.

She’s built a new life for herself, living under an assumed name and working in a used bookstore – but when she begins to receive a series of books in the mail – books that she shared as a teen with a boy named Peter Flynt who she thought was “perfect” until he ruined her life – she fears her past has caught up with her and her secret may soon be revealed.

Although Erin Bartels drew me into The Words Between Us from the start with her suspenseful plot, what stands out to me about this book is how masterfully Erin interweaves this story with literary-like prose, dual timelines, and characters you’ll be thinking about long after you finish the book.

If you love literary classics and marvel at the power of both the written and the spoken word, you’ll savor every moment of The Words Between Us.

You Belong With Me by Tari Faris

You Belong With Me

If Contemporary Romance is your preferred genre, you’ll enjoy curling up with You Belong With Me by veteran novelist Tari Faris – a book that’s tinged with humor. For instance, Hannah Thornton, our protagonist, is characterized as a realtor who has many talents (but, unfortunately, selling houses isn’t one of them!)

So, Hannah may not be the most successful real estate agent in the small town of Heritage Michigan (and being the daughter of an embezzler has not helped her cause), but she’s passionate about the town, its people, and its history. When she learns that a business tycoon wants to raze the historic homes of Heritage and replace them with a strip mall, she resolves to fight him by helping her town win a restoration grant.

She’s sure she can count on her best friend, Luke Johnson, to help her. But former foster kid Luke never really felt like he really belonged, and their complicated pasts only add to the tension that continues to exist between them in the present.

You Belong With Me is filled with lots of interesting characters who are struggling with questions like: How will they overcome their past? Will they find their purpose and place in the world?

You Belong With Me is an enjoyable read that small town aficionados and romance lovers won’t want to miss!

I don’t read books much, and when I do my favorite author believe it or not is Stephen King. I know….. I’m looney tunes, but the books I read was called, “The Gunslinger”, and it was about a science-fiction place, and the characters in there were phenomenal. Anyway, it was cool.
