Do You Like Trains? by Ann Tarpley Francesco – Book Review

Do you like children’s books that are filled with delightfully illustrated images of animals such as squirrels and raccoons, horses and cows, cats, dogs and swans?

Are you fascinated by trains that go fast and slow, that sometimes sit still, that go choo choo as they climb up a hill?

Do you love reading books that rhyme, books that make you look forward to storytime?

If so, then you are going to adore Do You Like Trains? – the second train-themed children’s book by author Ann Tarpley Francesco!

Do You Like Trains - Sample Page

Do You Like Trains tells the tale of a train-loving squirrel who cannot help but share the virtues of trains with his best bud, the raccoon in a fun rhyming style that is reminiscent of Dr. Seuss in his classic story, Green Eggs And Hams.

The illustrations by Rebecca Solow are just perfect for this story – they are soft, calming, yet colorful.

Do You Like Trains? is a pleasure to read (especially aloud, so you can play with the rhythm and rhyme) and is ideal for children ages 3 to 8 (and Dr. Seuss lovers of all ages!)

You can purchase this newly-released book on its own, but the best way to give this book is as part of the Do You Like Trains? Coloring Gift Set!

Do You Like Train Gift Set Extras

The Do You Like Trains? Coloring Gift Set is beautifully packaged in a festive organza draw-string bag that is perfect for gift-giving and includes the following items:

  • Do You Like Trains? – A delightfully illustrated 32-page hardcover book that teaches your child about trains while they follow the budding friendship of the squirrel and the raccoon characters.

  • An 8-pack box of Crayola brand crayons.

  • A coloring page featuring squirrel and raccoon OR a holiday train scene coloring page (when ordered during the holiday season).

  • Cut-out finger puppets coloring page of the beloved characters for acting out the book and just plain fun!

Ann’s first children’s book, The Gingerbread Train: Santa’s Secret Gift, is also available year-round as a book or a gift-set for your child’s reading pleasure.

Do You Like Trains is a delightful book that offers an enjoyable reading experience for everyone!

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
