NET Eternity Now New Testament Series Box Set – Bible Review
Have you ever invited someone to read the Bible, only to discover that they were intimidated by the prospect? Perhaps in the past, they tried reading the Bible but found the language and imagery of a traditional, leather-bound tome difficult to understand. They would be open to exploring the Bible if you could find a non-threatening way to share Scripture with them.
What would you do?
Thomas Nelson Bibles has developed a unique solution to this challenge. They’ve created a boxed set of books that look and feel like paperback novels but, in actuality, contain the entire contents of the New Testament in five eye-catching volumes!
The Eternity Now New Testament Series Box Set, Comfort Print (NET Bible translation) is the most non-intimidating presentation of the New Testament that I have ever seen. The titles of the five volumes are attention-grabbing; the cover designs are bright and colorful; and each lightweight volume fits very easily into my slender girl hand!
If you’re looking for an easy-to-read translation that’s designed to flow like an action-packed story (no verse notations, study annotations or the like), this is it! The absence of traditional Bible aids allows readers to become immersed in the story of Scripture. Another bonus: the Comfort Print in this edition is a larger font than traditional Bibles and is truly easy on the eyes!
The five volumes are divided, when possible, by author. Each volume can be purchased individually but honestly, the best way to purchase and present this is as a boxed set:
- Volume One, The Legacy offers a rich story etched with pain and promise as described in the books of Matthew, Hebrews, James, and Jude.
- Volume Two, No Going Back provides a fast-paced account from the front row of history as seen through the eyes of Mark and Peter (1 Peter & 2 Peter).
- Volume Three, Grand Tour focuses on the books of Luke. This volume includes the Gospel of Luke and the Acts Of The Apostles, bringing to life the amazing story that changed the world.
- Volume Four, Death to Life digs into the books of Paul, including Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, and Philemon. This volume takes us beyond what happened and offers insight into what it all means.
- Volume Five, Now But Not Yet is where John wraps up the series with the Gospel of John, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, and Revelation. This volume demonstrates that the beginning was shocking and the ending changes everything.
The Eternity Now New Testament Series Box Set is the perfect gift for someone who is interested in reading the Bible but might find a traditional Bible a bit intimidating. This translation is perfect for introducing new readers to the Bible.
If you’re looking for a novel way to share the Bible with your friends, this is it!
I rate this Boxed Set 5 out of 5 stars.

Those definitely look interesting & non intimidating. It can be quite challenging for someone to look at an entire book like the Bible & not say to themselves…”where do I even begin”. I may have to get my hand on these…would make for a non intimidating gift.
Great thoughts Mitzi – even the prologues to each of the books make the gospels sound like an exciting story that you can’t wait to delve into!
I’m glad to know that this non intimidating series is available. I met people who were intimidated to read the Bible for that very reason. Love your review.
