Welcome to Where Bloggers Create – that fabulous event where creative bloggers around the world throw open the doors of their art studios, scrap rooms and other creative spaces and show you where the inspiration begins and the magic occurs! Are you ready to turn on the lights at The Paper Palace and peek inside?
The first thing you’ll discover as you step into my studio is that my space isn’t really my own! I share my space with Tsunami and Legend, two crafty Maine Coons who love to chew on plastic, gnaw on paper, steal embellishments, play with glue and glitter, and sample new recipes every chance they get! They also like to type and blog – whenever something looks particularly “creative” on my blog, you can be sure that they had a paw in it!
When the cats aren’t around – and my desk is clear – I am blessed with a bountiful workspace to create on! Because I love to collect lots of treasures, though, I’ve had to find creative ways to maximize every inch of my space!
I converted old cassette tape holders into Ink Pad storage on my desktop so that I can create a stamped image at a moment’s notice. I also rotate artwork to keep myself inspired!
Inside my desk, I keep stickles, word stamps, and various crafting items close at hand!
Behind my desk are cabinets that house my paper and flower garden! My husband, Prince Charming, built all of the shelves and cabinets for me when I first moved into this space!
Here’s a peek inside of the paper garden, where everything is sorted according to color, manufacturer, and/or category!
To the left of my desk is the closet that we opened up and lined with shelves. These shelves house beautiful boxes and baskets that house stamps, ribbons, embellishments, and all sorts of surprises!
For instance, one of my favorite boxes is filled with – cat stamps! Hmmm, I wonder who got into that box?
Another box is full of beautiful lace trim! It’s a joy to create pretty treasures from that box!
Across from my desk are the shelves that house my card-making supplies, scrapbooks, music CDs – and, of course, more treasures!
Thank you so much for visiting us at Create With Joy! Be sure to leave a comment and a link to your blog so that I can visit your creative space as well!

you are so lucky to have a handy husband to build you all that lovely furniture.
Mine is not very handy…but wonderfully supportive in other ways!
Ps Your blue boxes remind me of Tiffany’s boxes!
what a delight to visit your studio with all it’s treasures! i dream of having lots of space like you!
You are a really tidy crafter! Your craft room is so organised! I used to have a fair bit of crafting goodies which I kept in a cupboard in my last home, but I gave most of them away before we moved to our present home and now I concentrate on digital crafting (when I get the time). It works best for me and as I can store all my scrapbooks on pen drives. So if I was to show you my craft room – it would consist of 3 pen drives and a couple of boxes of papers and stamps… and that’s it!
I could have a field day in your craft room though 😀
Enjoy!
