Hearts & Kisses Card

Hugs & Kisses Card

Happy WOYWW to you, dear friends! I cannot believe another week has come and gone. I spent the weekend participating in the Biannual Blogathon, where I participated in blogging mini-challenges, attended Twitter parties, and worked on a few items from my To Do list. Now it’s back to crafting!

I call this Valentine card Hearts & Kisses but it could just as easily be named Layers Of Love. My husband will soon be travelling – without me – and I am missing him already. So, this card graphically expresses some of what I was feeling the day I heard the news. Wouldn’t this make a sweet surprise to tuck away in his suitcase?

Art Challenges

Now, I have a treat for you Tsunami Lovers. Last week’s Insomnia post was wildly popular – apparently, I am not the only one growing dark circles under my eyes because there’s a Bed Hog in the house! So, I wrote a story about how the Bed Hog got his start. The result? Meet the Night Terror! You’ll find the truth about this not-so-innocent kitten on my not-so-wordless Wordless Wednesday post!

Tsunami - Night Terror

Have a wonderful week and I look forward to visiting as many workspaces as I can! If this is your first visit and you’re wondering what this WOYWW stuff is all about, visit Julia at Stamping Ground for all the details!

Happy WOYWW. We have a Bed Hog when she is allowed in the bedroom – do try to sneak upstairs and shut the door while she sleeps in front of the fire! I usually have to get up in the night to visit the bathroom – and then she often runs upstairs and into the bedroom before I can get past her. She then sits right by my head purring loudly until I give in and get up. Who is the boss?? Sweet card – and it must be so difficult to have a hubby who travels (I miss mine when he goes on his mountainbiking trips). Ali x #34

That is a fantastic card. I wish my local card shop sold cards of this calibre. I hope he isn’t going to be away from you for too long. My OH half is flying to Sweden in a couple of weeks to spend time with his best frend, and I’m fine with it now, but I’ll find it hard at the time. It’s all about keeping yourself busy! Off to check out this kitten. Have a great week:) Lucy #23 x

I can only imagine! When I had a dog, I worked hard to keep him off of the bed and the couches!
Still, there were always tell tale signs that from time to time, he would indulge himself in my absence!

Gorgeous card and I love the idea of the bed hog. I used to have one that hid under the bed until 2am and then lay across my head half-suffocating me to wake me up!

That is so funny! You really do have to live through these experiences to relate!
Last night, I rolled on my side for a stretch…
The next thing I know, the bed hog has stretched out in the middle of the bed, relegating me to the cramped side!

Wow – a biter – yours is even more Napoleonic than mine!
Lately mine has taken to jumping up and leaving me if I disturb “his” beauty rest.
You would think this is a good thing –
but no, it make ME feel guilty for hurting his feelings!

My, how he has trained me!

  29. sandeeNC says:

I think the card should be tucked away in his suitcase, great idea that he will appreciate! That kitty has a very mishevious expression! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ♥
