Wordless Wednesday – The Boxer

Legend - The Boxer

Welcome to Wordless Wednesday at Create With Joy!

Today, the ever-expressive Legend encountered
One of his long-standing adversaries –
A two-sizes, too-small box.

Try as he might –
And he tried mighty hard –
He just couldn’t fit into that box!

Which leads us to today’s quote by St. George Mivart:

We cannot without becoming cats,
Perfectly understand the cat mind.

Of course, our cats
Might be thinking the same thing about us
When they watch us try to squeeze into our
Two sizes, too small pants!

Food for thought?

Have a fabulous time mingling at this week’s party!

  1. Hahaha! I can just see him playing with the box! 😉

  2. Kathryn says:

    What a cutie!
Our kitty went missing just before Christmas. We’ve tried desperately, but can’t find him. I miss him!

    • I am so sorry about your loss Kathryn! I lost a cat when I was a child and it just broke my heart.
I pray that he returns home and if not, that someone good finds & cares for him.

      ((Hugs))

  6. LadyD says:

Free entertainment, wonderful! Isn’t it funny how the little things amuse them?!

  7. Tara @momtwomonkeys says:

Boxes are the best..both cats and kids agree!

  8. Monica says:

Ours love empty boxes, the only thing better is a box full of tissue paper!!

  9. Looks to me he got more in that little box that I did in my jeans!…:)JP

  10. Mitzi says:

What an adorable cat! it seems like he is certainly enjoying the box. You have to appreciate the creative mind of a cat!

  11. Marcie says:

Love the photo! Don’t forget to stop by and see what I made in my second week of art class.

  12. Isadora says:

Cats and kids love to play with boxes. Christmas is a good example. Kids usually play with the wrapping paper and boxes and ignore the toys. We should gift cats and kids boxes. hahaha Fun Pix

    • So true! I have a whole basket filled with toys that they ignore – but bring a box into the house and they won’t leave it alone!
I have a new pair of shoes and Legend is trying to take over that box – even though the shoes are still in it!

      Happy WW to you!

  13. Maya says:

A box can be way more fun than any toy bought at the store!

  14. Lori says:

I always look forward to pics of your Legend…Thanks for hosting! Lori

  15. Nina says:

It’s lovely to get a bit insight to the mind of a cat – Legend serms to be so playful and persistent! We had a dog at home when I was little, so I’d like to get a cat at some point … Or maybe two, so they could play together?!

  16. Rosey says:

This confirms the box is always good for a little fun. 🙂

  17. Some things aren’t possible—even for such a handsome cat!

  18. Lisa says:

I LOVE this! My parents have a cat named Mittens who has never met a box she doesn’t like! She has squeezed into boxes that I thought would be absolutely impossible for her to fit into! 🙂 Thanks so much for hosting!

  19. EH Benoit says:

Love it!! Gracie and Benjamin of Feline Funnies have had similar experiences. When all else fails, Gracie attempts to either eat the box or rip it to shreds. Her patience level is not very high – ha, ha.

  20. Brooke B. says:

    Cats and boxes…legendary entertainment. 😀

    Stopping by from Cat Thursday!

    How sweet!

  22. Hazel Moon says:

I would open a brown paper grocery bag and lay it on its side, and my cat loved to hide inside. Your baby is beautiful and at least is trying to get the best of that box.
Thank you for sharing at “Tell Me a Story.”

I would love to enter your Wordless site, but alas I am too wordy! 🙂

  23. It’s always hilarious to watch the kitties try to squeeze into the too small boxes. Poor Legend. 🙂
