My Mother’s Quilts – Book Review
If you create quilts, or know someone who does, then you know just how much love goes into the crafting of each beautiful piece of art.
In My Mother’s Quilts: Devotions From A Legacy Of Needlework, Ramona Richards shares devotions based on the memories and spiritual lessons she’s learned from the faithful women in her life who have left cherished legacies through heirloom quilts – some of which are over 100 years old!
The devotions in this book are uplifting and encouraging, and filled with personal stories that are humorous, heartwarming, and heartbreaking. You’ll also find Scripture, prayers and full color photographs of each of the 30 quilts!
My Mother’s Quilts is the perfect gift for the quilter in your life. Be sure to pick up a copy today – and be sure to enter the contest at the end of this post for your chance to win some fabulous prizes!

Ramona,
Thank you for reviewing, “My Mother’s Quilts.” I have never quilted before, but I do have a few of my husband’s grandmother’s quilts in our home. They are so meaningful to us! I would love to learn how to quilt some day. I have actually been thinking recently about trying to see if a few of the older women in our church would be interested in starting a quilting class for younger girls like myself. Needless to say, reading your post has definitely increased that desire! Sweetest blessings to you!

Like you, I have always wanted to learn to quilt but have never had the opportunity.
I have a friend who makes the most amazing quilts and was blessed to receive one of her quilts as a gift this Christmas!
Best of luck to you in your creative endeavors – please keep me posted on how your quilting journey goes! 🙂
Nothing I love and enjoy more than handmade quilts. I have a few and want all I see. I entered for the drawing, but do not participate in all the ways suggested to gain more points.I do not do Facebook, etc. There will definitely be some luck person thrilled by this win.
I love quilts and how they can incorporate so many memories. They are a real labour of love. This sounds like a lovely book. Thank you for sharing it with us at the Hearth and Soul Hop.

This looks like a very interesting book. I wanted to always look into quilting to see how it’s done, but just haven’t done it yet. I am more into crocheting right now. Thanks for sharing.
