My Heart Ever His: Prayers For Women – Book Review

My Heart Ever His

My Heart Ever His by Barbara Rainey – Book Review

Whenever I want to cry out to the Lord, whether it is to praise Him, petition Him, express my pain and sorrow to Him, or to ponder His mighty works, I find myself in the book of Psalms. I turn to Psalms because when I don’t have the words to express my feelings, I often find there’s a Psalm that says exactly what I’m thinking.

You Are Enough

In her new book My Heart Ever His: Prayers For Women, Barbara Rainey leads us into our own personal pathway to prayer. My Heart Ever His contains 40 prayers that express what’s on the heart and mind of contemporary women.

Deliver Me

The prayers are written in modern language that deeply resonates with the Psalms. The prayers are deeply personal and heartfelt, direct and questioning. These prayers authentically express our needs and inadequacies while simultaneously glorifying God with all the reverence and honor that He is due!

Lost Opportunity

One thing that I like about this book is that I can relate to these prayers and I can connect with the devotional aspects of the book as well. Another thing I like is that the prayers are scriptural, relevant and poetic.

In Christ

The best thing about My Heart Ever His is that it is a book that can help us to grow in our capacity to pray.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
