For the past few weeks,
I haven’t been sleeping as well as I should.
I think I’ve discovered the reason for my insomnia.
My name is Tsunami and I am a bed hog!
I like to stretch out across the bed at night
Even if it means a paw in your face!
I like to snuggle against you while you sleep
Even if I heat you up like a furnace!
I love to dive under the covers with you
Then pull them off when you get cozy!
The other night, I got up because
I was tossing and turning as
Tsunami took up more and more of my space.
Three hours later I returned and
Tsunami was still in bed!
I used to be flattered when the cats curled up with me.
Now I’m beginning to see the truth in
This quote from Jules Champfleury:
When dogs leap onto your bed,
It’s because they adore being with you.
When cats leap onto your bed,
It’s because they adore your bed.
Have a fabulous time at this week’s party
(And I hope you got a good night’s sleep!)

I would not TOTALLY say that is true – we DO prefer the bed when my human is in it.
I had to laugh at the quote about cats adoring your bed. Although, while I was reading your post I kept thinking of when our children were very young and they loved snugling with us in bed. Oh good heavens, they were all over the place and sleeping was a difficult at best thing to do with them sandwiched between us. Thanks for hosting another week of WW fun!
I remember those days! It seems that some days, the bed is more of a playground than a resting space!
I completely agree with you…Even on the coldest winter nights, I can lose my blankets to two furry, purry kitties! Thanks for hosting!
Thank you for hosting! This is my first time joining in.
I have been suffering with insomnia, as well. Mine carries the name of my two kids, however.
Very cute photo.
🙂

Welcome Star! Your insomnia is probably more severe than mine than! 🙂
Awww…Tsunami, you are just a big tiger when you sleep at night! Purr…fect
Wagging wordless Wednesday!
Maggie
I feel for you with the sleep thing. I struggle with it myself. Would that I could sleep like a cat! Tsunami is a great looking kitty!
Have a great day and thanks for hosting!
Kristy @ Shona Skye Creations
lol…yes, this is probably the reason for your insomnia! Our kitties think the beds belong to them!
The quote cracked me up! In my WW post, there is a pic of one of our cats, as well. She is so nosy, she just had to see what the kids were doing at the window! 🙂 Thanks for hosting. Hope you are doing well.
Oh cats! Mine has been especially obnoxious lately too. But I love him!
He looks quite comfy!
Thanks for linking up at Tales of a Pee Dee Mama!
Hello,
Tsunami is a wonderful cat!
Thanks for hosting.
Have a nice week,
moni
The eyes are so mesmerizing!!
LOL I can sure relate to this! Often have a couple or three dogs up there.
Thanks for hosting the WW hop. Cheers!
Tsunami sure is a pretty cat! Loved your quote. I am a light sleeper and will take naps or sit on sofa with cats piled all over me, seriously, but at night…they are not allowed in the bedroom. I know, I know, mean Mama, but I HAVE to have my nighttime sleep!
Well you handsome kitty, hold your ground…stretch those handsome paws out right into the backs and faces of those who LOVE you…trust me…they are not as bad as they say they are!…:)JP
OH – we have an INSTIGATOR in the crowd – lol!
(shhh – don’t let him know how much I ADORE cuddling with him – even if he DOES keep me awake at night!)
We have trouble sleeping time to time too, but it results from our 5-yr old child. 🙂
I love this pic!
Thank you for hosting and for your funny quote. I only have a dog now…Thanks, Lori
My lab used to sleep with us but now the bed is too high and he is too old to get in there. I miss it.
Your cat is definitely in charge just like mine. Don’t you just love how confident they are. Beautiful cat ….
Thanks for another Wordless Wednesday – here’s my entry …

Such a fun little poem about cats & dogs in the bed! I have a dog name bandit who adores climbing into bed with me but he is a bed hog. When I get up to go to the bathroom and come back is takes up my spot in the bed!
Yes! A bed hog – and a chair hog too!
Awesome Wordless Wednesday post! May I feature you in my blog on Sunday? I have a “Wordless Wednesday Featured on Sunday” series. 🙂 Cheers!
Yes you may – thanks so much for the feature!
I can sooo relate. But, it is nice to be loved.
We hopped over and am delighted reading about Tsunami’s antics. 🙂 The Spottyed Ones were bed-hogs, and the Mancat prefers to sleep across the room from me. LOL Happy Wednesday to you. 😀
You too – LOVE your beautiful furry wonders!
Love browsing through the great pics! Thanks for hosting…first time doing a (nearly) ‘wordless’ post.
Welcome Jeri – your picture rocks!
Hi Joy thank you for stopping by this week, always love to participate.
Karren!Oh! My Heartsie
I am afraid our cat is banned from the bed (i am actually allergic to cats!) but she makes up for it on the lounge – especially when we are sitting on it! Your cat is beautiful with all that curly fur!
Ha, yes! We’ve had to ban the kitties from the bedroom at night, because their favorite place to sleep is ON OUR FACES. 😉
I feel your pain…and fatigue.
Thanks for hosting and dropping by my Linky and Thumping Thursdays! 🙂

I love it! Blame the cat. lol
He looks commanding♫ Visiting from Cool Clicks today…here’s my photo: http://lore-eleven.blogspot.com/2013/01/as-rural-postal-carrier-i-come-upon.html
Well I suppose if you have to have something keeping you up, it might as well be cute right? 🙂
Oh no! I’m sorry your cat’s been such a pill. 🙂
LOL he is a sweetie but he also believes he rules the roost!
I have 2 bed hogs, one of them is a pillow hog!
she tries to push my head off
beautiful cat
Hi there!
I will feature your image/blog tomorrow morning on my blog. 😀 It’s part of my Wordless Wednesday featured on Sunday series. Thank you for giving me permission to do so – I have had many wonderful submissions this week, too! The link will go live on Sunday (1/27) at 8am. 🙂 Cheers! Here’s the shortlink:
Thanks so much!
I don’t know,my kids huskie hangs out on their bed no matter where they are, so good thing you haven’t got a dog too or there’d be absolutely no bed at all left for you.
I know! Even if you get them their own bed – they want YOURS!
I can certainly sympathize. Arya likes to sleep curled up on my chest. I wonder what she/I will do when she grows too large to do it. 😉
